The 2025 Nissan Z’s U.S. listed MSRPs start at $42,970 for Sport, with Performance at $52,970 and NISMO at $65,750. Those are published prices before a $1,295 destination and handling charge, taxes, fees, options, and any dealer-set price. The headline’s “same price” refers to Nissan’s published MSRP list—not a guarantee that every buyer paid the same amount. The other headline change is Bayside Blue, a color Nissan identifies with the GT-R and adds to the Z for 2025.
How much does the 2025 Nissan Z cost?
Nissan announced the 2025 Z’s U.S. pricing on March 6, 2025. The listed MSRP is $42,970 for Sport, $52,970 for Performance, and $65,750 for NISMO. Nissan’s announcement says those MSRPs exclude the $1,295 destination and handling charge, as well as tax, title, license, and options; the dealer sets the actual price. These are published launch figures, not a current dealer quote. Nissan’s 2025 pricing announcement
| U.S. trim | Listed MSRP | Listed transmission | Output and distinguishing equipment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sport | $42,970 | Six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic | 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6; 400 hp and 350 lb-ft |
| Performance | $52,970 | Six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic | Includes equipment such as Bose audio, navigation, a mechanical limited-slip differential, 19-inch RAYS wheels, and performance brakes |
| NISMO | $65,750 | Nine-speed automatic | 420 hp and 384 lb-ft; NISMO-tuned suspension and brakes |
All three prices are U.S. MSRP before destination and handling and other costs. The table reflects Nissan’s published 2025 figures; it does not show dealer discounts, markups, or final transaction prices.
What does “same price” mean for 2025?
It means the cited 2025 price list—not that each buyer’s out-the-door cost stayed fixed or that dealer transaction prices were unchanged. Nissan’s announcement establishes the 2025 trim MSRPs and additional charges described above. It does not establish what an individual dealer charged or what a buyer ultimately paid.

What is Bayside Blue, and why is it a GT-R tribute?
Nissan’s U.S. announcement calls Bayside Blue an iconic GT-R shade and says the color debuts on the 2025 Z in the United States. The link is a heritage and paint-color connection: the Z shares a notable GT-R color, not the GT-R’s mechanical identity. Nissan’s U.S. press kit also describes the Z’s steering wheel as GT-R-inspired, a design reference rather than evidence that the cars are mechanically the same. Nissan’s 2025 Z press kit
The color’s history, according to Nissan Australia
Nissan Australia traces Bayside Blue to an evolution of Champion Blue, which it says debuted on the 1995 R33 GT-R LM. Its account says Bayside Blue debuted with the R34 GT-R, takes its name from Tokyo’s Bayshore Highway, and returned in 2019 for a GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition. These are Nissan Australia’s historical claims; they provide context for the heritage reference but are separate from Nissan’s U.S. announcement of the color for the 2025 Z. Nissan Australia’s Warwick Daly, Deputy Director, Product & Retail Campaigns, described the pairing this way: “The new Z is an icon reborn, and it is only fitting that it now shares Bayside Blue with another Nissan legend, the R34 GT-R.” Nissan Australia also attributes the phrase “an evolved, vivid blue was demanded” to Kei Yoshitomi, Design Manager of Colour Design Group, Advance Design Department, in discussing the color’s development.
