What changed for the 2025 Emira V6?
In its 4 March 2025 range announcement, Lotus retained the V6 alongside the Turbo SE and moved away from the First Edition naming in the revised lineup. The V6 remained available with either a six-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic. See Lotus’s 2025 range announcement.
Keep that model year separate from the 2026 Emira V6 SE. Later V6 SE material describes updates including a manual-gearbox compression mount; that feature should not be assumed to apply to the 2025 car. Lotus’s technical page covers multiple range years, so check the model-year context when consulting it.
Does the 2025 Lotus Emira V6 have a manual?
Yes. Lotus lists a six-speed manual as an available transmission, with a six-speed automatic as the alternative. The manual suits a buyer who wants to choose each shift; the automatic offers a different control preference rather than a different engine output rating.

Lotus rates both versions at 400 bhp (298 kW), but lists torque of 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) for the manual and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) for the automatic. These are the manufacturer’s published figures, not comparative road-test results. Lotus’s technical specifications also list 0–60 mph in 4.3 seconds and 0–100 km/h in 4.2 seconds for the automatic. Engine and transmission specifications
The V6 is a supercharged 3,456 cc Toyota 2GR-FE, with an Edelbrock 1740 supercharger. Lotus identifies the gearbox as an Aisin/Toyota unit. The manufacturer’s 400 bhp rating is the same for the manual and automatic; the torque figures differ by transmission.

Those are Lotus’s published figures and conventions. Car and Driver’s 2025 U.S. specification page instead lists a 3,240 lb base curb weight, 20 x 8.5-inch front and 20 x 10.5-inch rear forged wheels, and Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport tires in P245/35YR20 front and P295/30YR20 rear sizes. What does a 2025 Emira V6 cost in the U.S.?
Car and Driver’s 2025 V6 Coupe specification page lists an MSRP of $102,250 and EPA fuel economy of 16 mpg city, 24 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined. These are page-listed figures, accessed in 2026, rather than a current dealer quote or independent real-world fuel-economy test. Actual purchase prices depend on inventory, options, taxes, fees and incentives; no live offer is established here. Check a specific dealer for current availability and pricing.
What this information can—and cannot—tell you about driving
The published configuration explains the Emira V6’s appeal on paper: a mid-engine layout, a supercharged V6, a manual option and dedicated suspension and braking hardware. It does not establish steering feel, ride quality, engine sound, shift quality or handling on the road. Without a verified drive, those impressions should not be presented as firsthand conclusions.
