Important width note: These width figures are not perfectly like-for-like. Which 2025 Lexus SUV is smallest?
The 2025 Lexus UX 300h is the smallest model in the comparison. At 177.0 inches long and 103.9 inches between the axles, it is 6.5 inches shorter than the NX and has the shortest wheelbase in the group. It is also the lowest, at 60.6 inches tall.
That compact footprint makes the UX the easiest Lexus SUV to place in tight city streets, small garages, and crowded parking lots. For 2025, the U.S. UX lineup is offered exclusively as the UX 300h hybrid, with front-wheel drive or electronically controlled all-wheel drive and 196 net combined horsepower.
The tradeoff is utility. Published specifications list approximately 17.1 cubic feet of cargo room with the seats in place, substantially less than the NX, RX, GX, or TX. The UX works best for a buyer who values a premium, efficient, easy-to-park crossover more than rear-seat stretch-out room or family cargo capacity.
2025 Lexus NX: the compact-SUV compromise
The 2025 Lexus NX occupies the next step in the lineup at approximately 183.5 inches long, with a wheelbase of about 105.9 inches. It remains a five-passenger crossover, but its more conventional compact-SUV proportions provide a considerably more useful cargo area than the UX.
Current published specifications list approximately 46.9 cubic feet of maximum cargo capacity. That figure is a directional comparison rather than a guarantee that every measurement uses exactly the same method as the other models, but the practical difference is clear: the NX is much better suited to luggage, groceries, strollers, and recreational equipment than the smaller UX.
The 2025 NX range includes gasoline, hybrid, and plug-in-hybrid powertrains. It is the best fit for shoppers who want a vehicle that remains manageable in daily driving but need more cabin and cargo flexibility than the UX provides.
UX vs. NX: which one makes more sense?
- Choose the UX if parking ease, a smaller footprint, and hybrid efficiency are your primary concerns.
- Choose the NX if you regularly carry larger loads, want more useful rear-seat space, or prefer a conventional compact-SUV shape.

2025 Lexus RX: the larger two-row comfort choice

Lexus lists 29.6 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the rear seats and 46.2 cubic feet with those seats folded. The RX therefore provides a more comfortable two-row environment and a larger overall footprint without requiring buyers to manage a third row they may not need.

RX vs. TX: two rows or three?
The RX and TX are not simply different sizes of the same vehicle. They solve different problems. The RX is a larger, more comfort-focused two-row crossover. The TX is designed around family hauling, with a third row and cargo room behind it.
- RX advantage: easier to justify if you usually carry five or fewer people and want a more manageable two-row vehicle.
- TX advantage: far better if adults or older children regularly occupy the third row, or if you need luggage space while all three rows are in use.
2025 Lexus GX: why length does not tell the whole story
The 2025 Lexus GX 550 measures 197.04 inches long, which places it between the RX and TX. Its 112.2-inch wheelbase matches the RX, but the GX is substantially taller and wider in its published exterior measurements.

Lexus lists GX width at 83.22 inches including the mirrors and height from 75.39 inches on Luxury grades to 77.17 inches on Overtrail grades. Those dimensions matter in real ownership: the GX can be more demanding in a narrow garage, a tight parking structure, or a low-clearance area than its length alone suggests.
The GX also differs fundamentally from the crossover-based UX, NX, RX, and TX. It uses a body-on-frame architecture, full-time four-wheel drive, and a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 producing 349 horsepower and 479 lb.-ft. of torque. Depending on grade, its maximum published towing capacity exceeds 9,000 pounds.
Standard three-row configurations can seat up to seven, while Overtrail grades seat five. Cargo volume varies by configuration: Lexus lists up to 40.2 cubic feet behind the second row and 76.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. The five-seat Overtrail is particularly relevant for buyers who would rather have room for equipment and trail gear than maximum passenger capacity.
GX ownership and cargo planning
If you select a GX for trail trips, towing, or bulky equipment, a model-specific 2025 Lexus GX all-weather cargo mat can help protect the load floor from mud, water, and gear. That makes the TX the clearest choice for buyers who regularly carry people in all three rows, need to bring luggage without folding the third row, or want a family-oriented Lexus with available gas, hybrid, and plug-in-hybrid powertrains. It is longer than the GX but lower, and its design prioritizes passenger and cargo packaging rather than serious off-road hardware.
TX cargo protection and fitment
Because the TX can carry passengers and cargo in several configurations, floor and cargo protection must be matched to the exact vehicle. If you are shopping for 2025 Lexus TX floor liners, confirm the model year, trim, drivetrain, and seating configuration before ordering. Lexus model-specific liners and mats should not be moved from one Lexus SUV to another simply because the vehicles appear similar in size.

What the numbers do—and do not—tell you
Exterior dimensions are a useful first filter, but they do not fully predict how a Lexus SUV will feel or fit. Wheelbase gives some indication of cabin length and ride characteristics, while height affects step-in comfort, garage clearance, and roof-loading access. Cargo numbers also depend on whether the seats are up or folded and how each manufacturer measures usable volume.

The most important example is the GX. It is not the longest model, but it is the tallest and widest by the relevant published measurements. The TX has the largest maximum cargo figure, but the GX can offer more cargo room behind the second row in certain configurations. Meanwhile, the RX’s two-row layout may be more useful than a nominally larger three-row vehicle for a household that rarely carries more than five people.

Before buying, measure your garage opening and interior—not just the parking space. Check mirror-to-mirror width, liftgate clearance, roof height, the length available with the liftgate open, and whether a child seat, stroller, third-row passenger, or favorite piece of equipment actually fits.
