The 2025 Lexus IS 500 Ultimate Edition is painted Wind, a metallic light-gray finish Lexus introduced as an F SPORT-exclusive color. Lexus says the shade is intended to suggest agility and motion, and pairs it with a limited-run V8 package rather than offering it as a routine color choice.
Lexus announced 500 Ultimate Edition cars for North America. The figure is a production cap, not a statement about remaining dealer inventory.
What color is the 2025 Lexus IS 500 Ultimate Edition?
Wind is the official paint name. Lexus describes it as a metallic light gray and says the finish is meant to convey “a sense of agility and motion, capturing the dynamic character of the driving experience.” That description is Lexus’s design intent, not an independent assessment of how the paint looks in every lighting condition.
The color debuted on the Ultimate Edition as an F SPORT-exclusive body finish. The announcement does not establish that Wind was offered across later IS model years or in every market.

Wind versus the other limited 2025 IS 500 appearance package
Lexus also announced a separate 2025 IS 500 F SPORT Special Appearance Package. It is easy to confuse the two because both are limited editions, but their identifying colors and announced production caps differ.
