The 2025 Lamborghini Urus SE combines a twin-turbo V8 with plug-in-hybrid capability, but its headline figures are Lamborghini claims—not an independent test-drive verdict. The company quotes 800 CV, more than 60 km of electric-mode range and a 0–100 km/h time of 3.4 seconds. Those numbers make the SE a striking specification-led SUV; they do not establish that it is “the best of every world” in real-world comfort, efficiency or value.
What is the Lamborghini Urus SE?
The Urus SE is Lamborghini’s first plug-in-hybrid Super SUV. It pairs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission and a 25.9-kWh lithium-ion battery. The motor can drive all four wheels electrically, so the SE is not limited to using electricity only as a boost for the engine. Lamborghini’s model page and its 2024 launch announcement describe the powertrain and its capabilities.
How fast is the Urus SE?
Lamborghini rates the V8 at 620 CV and 800 Nm, and the electric motor at 192 CV and 483 Nm. The company’s combined figures are 800 CV and 950 Nm. It claims 0–100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 11.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 312 km/h. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independently measured results.
The published output figures describe the combined system; the separate engine and motor ratings should not be added together as though each peak is necessarily available at the same time. Lamborghini’s figures establish the intended performance, but without independent testing they cannot answer how consistently the vehicle delivers it in different driving conditions.

Can the Urus SE drive on electricity alone?
Yes. Lamborghini claims more than 60 km of electric-mode range and says the vehicle can travel above 130 km/h in EV Drive before the V8 supports the electric motor. High torque demand can also call on the engine. These are company claims, not a guarantee of a particular commute distance or speed in everyday use; conditions and demand matter.
Six driving modes and four power strategies
The SE retains six named driving modes—Strada, Sport, Corsa, Neve, Sabbia and Terra—and adds four Electric Performance Strategies. The modes and strategies serve different purposes rather than being ten interchangeable settings.

Lamborghini’s descriptions explain the intended controls, not observed fuel savings, charging behavior or electric range in a particular use case.
What changed in the SE’s design and cabin?
Lamborghini describes revisions to the hood, matrix-LED headlight signature, front bumper and grille, rear hatch and diffuser, alongside aerodynamic updates. It says the spoiler-and-diffuser combination raises rear downforce by 35% at high speeds compared with the Urus S. The company also claims underbody vents and revised air ducts improve cooling by 15% versus the previous system. Both percentages are Lamborghini comparisons, not independent measurements.

Inside, the manufacturer lists a 12.3-inch central display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, with updated graphics and dedicated telemetry. It also describes revised dashboard and trim details and displays for driver-assistance information. These details establish the stated screen sizes and revisions, but do not by themselves assess interface usability or passenger and cargo practicality.
What are the official consumption and emissions figures?
Published figures vary by market and test procedure. Lamborghini’s model page gives an EPA-label rating of 20 MPG on gasoline alone and 48 MPGe for electricity plus gasoline. Separately, its 2026 brochure reports WLTP figures for the relevant European test cycle:

The EPA-label and WLTP values use different procedures and should not be compared as if they were a single test. Nor are the brochure figures a road-test result: the available published data does not establish real-world energy use or fuel economy.

Compare like with like
For another performance SUV—or an earlier Urus—compare electric capability and charging practicality, acceleration and maximum speed in consistent units, independently tested ride and handling, and energy use measured on a comparable route and in similar conditions. Also consider cabin controls and passenger or cargo needs, along with local price, options, warranty and service access. The published specifications alone do not establish which vehicle is best overall.

Confirm the exact tire fitment
Lamborghini lists 23-inch Galanthus wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires as standard and describes P Zero choices in 21-, 22- and 23-inch sizes for different comfort and sport preferences; Scorpion Winter 2 is listed for cold-season use. That information does not establish the correct size, load index or speed rating for every vehicle. Check the vehicle’s tire placard and confirm VIN-specific fitment with an authorized dealer or tire professional before buying replacements.
Is the Urus SE “the best of every world”?
The specifications support a narrower conclusion: Lamborghini has combined a powerful V8, all-wheel-drive electric mode and high claimed performance in one plug-in-hybrid SUV. They do not establish a verdict on real-world range, ride comfort, handling, refinement, charging behavior or value. Without independent testing and market-specific pricing, “best of every world” remains a promotional description rather than a proven comparison.
