The U.S. lineup includes the 500-hp Limited and 600-hp Launch Edition; a 600-hp Propulsion Boost package was also announced as an optional, late-availability upgrade for the Limited. Whether it is worth buying depends on the specific trim and deal, your charging access, and the vehicle’s VIN-specific recall status.
What is the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S?
The Wagoneer S is Jeep’s all-electric, five-seat premium midsize SUV. For the U.S. 2025 model year, the lineup includes Limited and Launch Edition trims. Both use dual-motor all-wheel drive, but their published power figures differ: Edmunds lists 500 hp and 524 lb-ft for the Limited, while Jeep announced 600 hp for the Launch Edition.
Jeep’s February 6, 2025 announcement set the Limited’s starting U.S. MSRP at $66,995, including $1,795 destination. That is a dated manufacturer MSRP, not a current transaction quote. Incentives, availability, dealer pricing and the vehicle’s equipment can change; check the actual listing and build sheet before comparing prices.
Which trim and equipment should you choose?
Limited
Jeep’s announcement lists the Limited with 20-inch machined wheels, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 10-way heated front seats, more than 45 inches of usable screen space and more than 170 standard safety and security features. It also describes the front-passenger screen, 920-watt McIntosh audio system and Obsidian Appearance Package as options. Jeep identified the Propulsion Boost package and some appearance items as late availability; confirm whether a specific vehicle has them.

Launch Edition
Jeep announced the Launch Edition with a 600-hp dual-motor AWD drivetrain, a 10.25-inch passenger display and a 19-speaker, 1,160-watt McIntosh audio system. The announcement also describes heated and ventilated seats. Equipment differs by trim and announcement timing; use the vehicle’s build sheet rather than assuming that a feature listed for one version is included on another.

Optional performance upgrade
Jeep described a 600-hp Propulsion Boost package as an optional, late-availability configuration for the Limited. That means a Limited’s stated 500 hp should not be confused with the output of a vehicle fitted with the package. Check the build sheet and current availability if this upgrade matters to your purchase.
How far can a Wagoneer S go on one charge?
For the 2025 Limited, Edmunds lists 294 miles of EPA electricity range, a 100.5-kWh battery and energy use of 36 kWh per 100 miles. These are figures for the listed configuration, not a guarantee of the distance a driver will cover. Actual range varies with conditions and use.

Jeep’s May 30, 2024 U.S.-spec/U.S.-cycle launch announcement said the Wagoneer S would offer “more than 300 miles.” That earlier launch claim and Edmunds’ trim-specific EPA figure describe different contexts. They should not be averaged or treated as interchangeable ratings for the 2025 Limited.
What one road test found
Tom’s Guide journalist John Velasco reported driving a Launch Edition 231 miles over one week in 2025. He measured 3.7 miles per kilowatt-hour overall, 4.1 mi/kWh on a highway-focused run and 5 mi/kWh in city driving. His estimated 371-mile range was an extrapolation from the test’s observed efficiency and battery capacity—not an EPA rating or a guaranteed result for other drivers.

Charging time and home charging
Jeep says the Wagoneer S’s 400-volt, 100-kWh battery can charge from 20% to 80% in 23 minutes on a DC fast charger. This is a manufacturer claim; charging time can depend on the charger and conditions. Edmunds lists an SAE Combo fast-charge port for the Limited.
Jeep’s February 2025 announcement says each purchase or lease includes a 48-amp Level 2 home charger or public-charging credits of equal value through Free2move Charge. Check the offer attached to the specific vehicle and deal, since included equipment or credits can vary with the offer. If arranging a separate home charger, confirm connector compatibility, amperage, electrical-panel capacity and installation requirements.

What is it like inside and on the road?
In his Launch Edition test, Velasco praised the power, efficiency, adaptive-cruise behavior, screens and massaging seats. He criticized the small head-up display and pixelated blind-spot camera views. He also found that the passenger display lacked native streaming apps and required a connected device through USB or HDMI. These are one reviewer’s observations of the Launch Edition, not standardized assessments or proof that every vehicle will present the same experience.
What recalls should buyers check?
Two NHTSA campaigns include Wagoneer S model years overlapping 2025. Their listed populations are potentially involved vehicles, not proof that every 2025 example is affected. Use the VIN lookup to determine whether a particular vehicle has an unrepaired recall.
| Campaign | Vehicles potentially involved | Issue and remedy |
|---|---|---|
| 26V262, submitted April 23, 2026 | 11,743 2024–2025 Wagoneer S vehicles | Some may have an inoperative instrument-panel cluster that fails to display required indicators and telltales. The stated remedy is an instrument-cluster software update. |
| 26V141, submitted March 12, 2026 | 11,767 2024–2026 Wagoneer S vehicles | A rear hinge cover may not be properly retained and could detach, creating a road hazard. The remedy is inspection and repair or replacement if needed. |
NHTSA says a VIN or license-plate search shows vehicle-specific unrepaired recalls; a year/make/model search provides general recall information. Recently announced recalls may not yet have every VIN identified. Check the vehicle’s 17-character VIN and confirm remedy status with the manufacturer.
Is the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S worth buying?
The case for the Wagoneer S is its combination of strong published power figures and substantial cabin equipment. The Limited offers a lower published starting price within the lineup and a listed 294-mile EPA range; the Launch Edition adds its announced 600-hp output and trim-specific equipment. The trade-offs to weigh are the vehicle’s price against current offers, whether the Limited’s range suits your regular routes, how you will charge, and whether the exact vehicle has the features you want.

Before buying, compare the exact trim’s EPA range and wheel/tire configuration, standard versus optional performance equipment, charging arrangements, passenger and cargo needs, driver-assistance equipment and current out-the-door price. Check the VIN for open recalls. The available figures do not establish a consistent head-to-head comparison with competing SUVs, so they do not support declaring the Wagoneer S a class winner.
