It pairs a 1,250 cc liquid-cooled V-twin rated by Indian at 105 hp with a low 25.6-inch laden seat, but its rear suspension has just 2.0 inches of travel. That short travel is central to the Bobber’s stance and matters on rough roads; one launch-ride reviewer reported feeling bumps, while stressing that the ride was less punishing than expected.
What the 2025 Scout Bobber costs
Indian lists a starting price of $12,999 U.S. MSRP for the 2025 Scout Bobber. This is not an out-the-door price or a quote for every trim and color. Indian excludes destination and handling fees, tax, title, license and registration; dealer prices may vary, and setup is additional. Check the specific bike and current dealer quote before budgeting. Indian’s model page lists the model and its trim equipment.
Engine, power and core specifications
The Bobber uses a liquid-cooled, 60-degree V-twin displacing 1,250 cc, with closed-loop fuel injection and a 63 mm throttle bore. Indian specifies 105 hp and peak torque of 82 ft-lb at 6,300 rpm. Those are manufacturer figures, not independent rear-wheel measurements. A six-speed transmission sends drive through a belt final drive.

Standard, Limited and Limited +Tech equipment
The three Bobber trims differ in controls and convenience equipment, not just appearance. Indian’s published U.S. model information describes them as follows; verify equipment for the exact market and configuration.

How the Bobber rides—and what comfort depends on
The defining ride-related number is the rear suspension’s 2.0 inches of travel, compared with 4.7 inches at the front. Combined with the low stance, that setup helps explain why sharp bumps can make themselves felt, especially on broken pavement. It does not, by itself, prove that every rider will find the bike uncomfortable.
In a RevZilla first-ride report, the writer rode Scout variants on a two-day, 250-mile route between San Francisco and Santa Cruz and back, encountering city streets, hills, speed humps and potholes. The writer said the Bobber communicated bumps, cracks and undulations, but was less teeth-clattering than remembered. Treat that as one journalist’s launch-ride impression—not instrumented testing, a long-term ownership report or a verdict for all riders.

If your usual routes are rough or plushness is a priority, ride the exact bike on representative roads before deciding. Also assess reach to the bars and controls, low-speed maneuvering and the fit of the laden seat height; the published seat measurement alone cannot determine how a motorcycle will fit a particular rider.

The power rating, torque figure and chassis dimensions provide a useful specification baseline. They do not establish real-world acceleration, fuel use, maximum range, braking performance or handling limits. The Bobber’s single front rotor, 16-inch wheels and short rear travel are hardware details, not substitutes for controlled comparative testing. Compare alternatives by their published equipment and suspension travel, then ride them under conditions that resemble your own use.
