Indian lists a U.S. starting MSRP of $16,999 before fees and taxes; Autocar India reported an India launch price of Rs 15.99 lakh ex-showroom on August 25, 2025. Those figures use different market and price bases. Below are the published specifications, equipment and buying details to help you assess the bike without treating manufacturer claims as independent test results.

Do not compare the U.S. MSRP directly with India’s ex-showroom figure as though they include the same taxes and charges. For any market, request a written quote that separates the advertised price from destination or setup fees, taxes, registration and dealer charges.

The U.S. specification page uses U.S. customary units; Indian Motorcycle India publishes selected metric figures for its market. Confirm the specification and equipment for the exact market and motorcycle being quoted.

Features and technology
Chassis, brakes and styling
Indian’s feature page highlights inverted adjustable front forks, adjustable piggyback rear shocks, dual-disc Brembo front brakes, a quarter fairing, 6-inch risers, and 101 badging and stitching. Indian describes the 101 Scout as its highest-performance Scout; that is the manufacturer’s positioning, not an independent comparison of the Scout range.
Rider aids and display
The U.S. specification page lists ABS, ride modes, traction control, cruise control, keyless ignition and a USB charge/data port as standard. It also lists a 4-inch RIDE COMMAND display with GPS navigation, customizable gauge screens and Bluetooth connectivity.

Connected services
The U.S. page describes a factory-installed RIDE COMMAND+ telecommunications unit with one year of free service. Listed functions include live weather and traffic overlays, bike health, bike locator and destination search. Verify current service terms and local availability before purchase.
Equipment and connected-service availability can vary by market. Check the specification for the particular motorcycle being sold rather than assuming the U.S. equipment list applies everywhere.

Warranty, accessories and owner documentation
Warranty
The U.S. specification page lists a two-year, unlimited-mile factory warranty. Coverage may differ by country and is governed by the applicable warranty document; confirm exclusions, the warranty start date and local coverage with the dealer.
Accessories
Indian says more than 100 factory accessories are available across the Scout range. Examples shown on its U.S. page include saddlebags, smoked turn signals for the 101 Scout, risers, brake and clutch levers, a headlight, highway bars, a luggage rack and soft lowers. Confirm exact model-year fitment, included hardware, local availability and price before buying.

- Price basis: Separate U.S. MSRP, India ex-showroom pricing or another market’s advertised price from the taxes, delivery, setup and registration that determine the amount you pay.
- Powertrain: Compare displacement, published horsepower and torque, and transmission; check that the figures refer to the same market specification.
- Chassis and stopping equipment: Look at fork type and adjustability, rear suspension, front-brake arrangement, and wheel and tire sizes.
- Fit and practicality: Compare laden and unladen seat height, running weight, wheelbase, ground clearance and fuel capacity. An in-person fit check can help you judge reach and low-speed handling for yourself.
- Ownership equipment: Check display features, rider aids, connected-service terms, warranty coverage and locally available accessories.
The manufacturer’s 3.4-gallon capacity does not establish riding range. The specifications cited here do not provide independent real-world fuel economy, acceleration, range or comparative handling measurements.
