What’s new in the 2025 Hyundai Tucson?
The 2025 model is a refresh rather than an entirely new-generation Tucson. Hyundai presented the North American update at the New York International Auto Show on March 27, 2024. The changes span the front and rear styling, cabin controls and technology, while the U.S. lineup retains three powertrain types. Hyundai’s reveal announcement describes the design and announced equipment; Hyundai Motor America’s July 2024 pricing announcement supplies U.S. launch pricing, outputs and revised arrival timing.
Revised exterior details
Hyundai updated the grille and front and rear bumper fascias, revised the daytime-running-light signature, and introduced new wheel designs and anodized aluminum badging. The company says the lighting signature changes from ten lighting areas to eight larger units. The rear wiper is 75 mm longer than before, according to Hyundai. The styling remains within the brand’s “Parametric Dynamics” design language. The outdoors-oriented XRT adds raised bridge-type roof rails.
What changed inside the 2025 Tucson?
The redesigned cabin centers on a more open dashboard layout and more direct access to frequently used controls. Hyundai says the 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen is fitted across all trims. A separate 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is available, so the two-screen arrangement is not standard on every Tucson.

Displays, controls and cabin layout
Hyundai added physical knobs and switchgear for audio and selected climate functions rather than relying exclusively on touchscreen controls. Other announced changes include a redesigned center console, steering wheel and door-panel accents, plus a tray across the dashboard above the glovebox. Premium models with shift-by-wire use a column-mounted selector.
- A wireless 15-watt device-charging pad and USB-C ports are among the announced cabin features.
- Memory settings and a 12-inch color head-up display are available, depending on equipment.
- Limited models include acoustic laminated front side windows, according to Hyundai.
- When equipped, the heated steering wheel and rear-seat heaters offer additional settings.

What technology does the 2025 Tucson add?
Hyundai announced wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard on North American Tucson models. It also announced over-the-air updates for powertrain, safety, multimedia and mapping systems; navigation must be equipped for mapping-system updates. A five-device Wi-Fi hotspot and Hyundai Pay are listed as available features, not universal standard equipment. Trim and equipment availability can vary.
Which 2025 Tucson powertrains were announced for the U.S.?
Hyundai’s U.S. announcements covered gasoline, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, along with XRT and hybrid N Line variants. The manufacturer’s July 2024 release lists these maximum outputs:

What was the 2025 Tucson’s U.S. launch price and arrival timing?
Hyundai Motor America announced a U.S. starting MSRP of $29,750 including a $1,395 destination charge on July 18, 2024. The release says the price excludes tax, title and license, and that freight and dealer prices may vary. This is a historical launch MSRP, not current dealer pricing or a statement about present availability.

Hyundai’s initial March reveal had projected a June arrival for 2.5-liter vehicles. The later July pricing release revised the announced U.S. timing: 2.5-liter models were due at dealers in July 2024, with hybrid and plug-in hybrid models following in late summer. Those were launch-period plans, not confirmation of current inventory.
