Engine connecting-rod bolt recall
NHTSA recall 25V549, submitted by the manufacturer on August 25, 2025, covers a limited group of 2025–2026 Santa Fe vehicles with 2.5-liter turbo engines. The connecting-rod bolts may have been installed with insufficient torque. NHTSA says possible symptoms include abnormal engine knocking or an oil-pressure warning; continued driving could damage the engine and cause it to stall. The recall report is at NHTSA recall 25V549.

Side-curtain airbag recall
NHTSA recall 25V809 concerns certain 2025–2026 Santa Fe and Santa Fe Hybrid vehicles whose side-curtain airbags may have been installed twisted or improperly. That could cause abnormal deployment in a crash. The trim and drivetrain matter when comparing listings: front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, equipment, and the gas-versus-hybrid choice affect what a vehicle offers. KBB says most gas models can tow up to 3,500 pounds and the AWD XRT up to 4,500 pounds. Those are configuration-specific maximums, not universal ratings; verify the exact vehicle’s towing equipment and rating before towing.
