The 2025 Honda Civic lineup brings two distinct updates: a sharper-looking, better-equipped Civic Si sedan and the return of Civic Hybrid models in sedan and hatchback form. The Si pairs a turbo engine with a six-speed manual and a performance-focused chassis; the hybrids use a two-motor system and prioritize fuel economy. They are separate models, not an “Si Hybrid.”
What changed for the 2025 Honda Civic?
Honda refreshed the Civic’s front fascia and grille, revised the taillights and introduced four exterior colors. The lineup includes LX and Sport trims, plus Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid models. Hybrid trims are available as sedans and hatchbacks. The Si is a separate performance-oriented sedan.
Honda forecast in May 2024 that hybrids would account for about 40% of Civic sales. That was a company expectation at announcement, not a verified sales result.
What changed on the 2025 Civic Si?
The Si retains its turbocharged engine, front-wheel drive and six-speed manual transmission. For 2025, Honda added heated front seats and Google built-in as standard equipment, and revised details of the chassis and rev-matching system.

Engine, transmission and performance hardware
- 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder: 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque.
- Six-speed manual transmission and a helical limited-slip differential.
- Rev-matching now covers downshifts from second to first; Honda reported a 430-millisecond response time.
- Honda says structural reinforcements and retuned suspension dampers are part of the update. Factory summer tires are optional.
Honda described the Si as the only car in its class available exclusively with a manual transmission. That is Honda’s class claim, rather than an independent comparison.
Si fuel economy and launch price
Honda reported EPA estimates of 27 mpg city, 37 highway and 31 combined for the 2025 Si; actual mileage varies with driving conditions and use. Its original U.S. MSRP was $29,950 before $1,095 destination. With optional summer tires, the original MSRP was $30,250 before destination. These are launch prices, not current dealer transaction prices.

Si technology and equipment
Honda’s feature guide lists wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Alexa built-in, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch touchscreen, Bose 12-speaker audio, Honda Sensing and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat. Connected-service terms can change; check Honda’s current terms before relying on a particular service or included period. Honda’s guide describes Service Pass as covering the first scheduled maintenance during the first years or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Does the 2025 Honda Civic have a hybrid?
Yes. For the U.S. market, Honda brought back Civic Hybrid power for 2025 in Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid trims, offered as both sedans and hatchbacks. The hybrid uses a two-motor powertrain and is distinct from the manual-transmission Si.

Hybrid sedan power, fuel economy and original prices
Honda’s June 12, 2024 release gave final figures for the sedan: 200 horsepower, 232 lb-ft of torque and EPA estimates of 50 mpg city, 47 highway and 49 combined for both hybrid sedan trims.

Sport Touring Hybrid technology
Honda highlighted Google built-in, including Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Play, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, a 9-inch touchscreen, leather seating and Bose 12-speaker audio. The launch announcement included a complimentary three-year unlimited data plan; confirm current availability and terms rather than assuming that launch offer still applies.

The starting-price comparison is limited to the listed trims and original launch MSRPs; it excludes destination, taxes, dealer pricing and differences in equipment. Which suits you depends on what you want from the car: a manual performance sedan or a hybrid available in two body styles.

Which 2025 Civic should you consider?
- Choose the Si if a manual transmission and performance-oriented hardware are central to your decision, and you want a sedan.
- Consider a Hybrid if fuel economy is a priority or you want the choice of sedan or hatchback. The cited EPA ratings here apply to hybrid sedans.
- Compare the exact trim and body style. The original prices and equipment differ, and sedan specifications should not be substituted for hatchback figures.
2025 Civic Si accessories
Honda lists All-Season Floor Mats for the 2025 Civic Si and provides model-specific accessory information for Civic Sedan, Hybrid and Si models. Check fitment for the exact model year and body style, as well as current availability. Honda also lists accessory categories such as spoilers, splash guards, body-side molding and wheel locks; these are options, not required upgrades. Honda says warranty coverage for genuine accessories described in its guide depends on installation at vehicle purchase.
