The 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV is a large, high-output electric off-roader built around unusual trail features and dramatic acceleration—not easy parking or low energy use. GMC lists two trims: the 2X, starting at $96,550, and the three-motor 3X, starting at $104,650. The 2X has an EPA-estimated range of up to 315 miles; GMC lists up to 312 miles for the 3X configuration shown. Those are different trim and configuration figures, not a promise that every SUV reaches the same range.
2025 Hummer EV SUV trims, prices and key specifications
GMC’s U.S. 2025 model page lists two SUV trims. Its starting prices are manufacturer-listed figures, not guaranteed transaction prices: destination, dealer-installed equipment, incentives and location-specific offers can change what a buyer pays. GMC also displays a $114,645 price for the vehicle shown on the page; that is the shown configuration price, not the starting price for every Hummer EV SUV. Check the window sticker and local dealer quote for a specific vehicle.

Prices, output and range above are from GMC’s 2025 Hummer EV SUV page. The horsepower, torque and acceleration figures are manufacturer claims. GMC’s headline “up to 315 miles” should not be read as a 315-mile rating for every 3X: the 3X trim block gives up to 312 miles, and GMC notes 312 miles for the configuration shown. The 2025 model figures should also be kept separate from GMC’s 2026 specifications and pricing.
How the Hummer EV SUV performs
3X acceleration
GMC says the 3X can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds when equipped with Watts to Freedom. That is an automaker estimate, not an independently reproduced result for this 2025 SUV. It is also an equipment-dependent claim: do not assume every 3X has the feature or achieves the figure in all conditions. CrabWalk, Extract Mode and trail hardware
CrabWalk uses four-wheel steering at low speeds: the rear wheels turn in phase with the front wheels so the SUV can move diagonally. The intended benefit is maneuvering through tight trails where a conventional turning path may be awkward. Extract Mode uses the Air Ride Adaptive Suspension to raise the body approximately six inches to help clear obstacles, according to GMC.
GMC also says the 3X’s torque vectoring is intended to help with traction and maneuverability. Its page advertises the SUV climbing 60-percent grades forward and backward, scaling 18-inch verticals and fording deep water. These are automaker capability claims, not independent findings from a test of this vehicle.

Real-world energy use and charging
What one independent test found
Tom’s Guide reviewer John Velasco reported averaging 1.6 miles per kWh while driving a 2025 3X SUV for a week and covering 291.4 miles. That is a single reviewer’s result over a defined test period, not an EPA rating or a prediction for every driver. Route, speed, weather, terrain and vehicle configuration can all affect consumption. DC fast charging and home charging
GMC advertises up to 300 kW available 800-volt DC fast charging, as well as Level 1 and Level 2 AC home charging. “Up to” describes peak capability, not a guaranteed charging rate or session time: actual power and duration depend on the vehicle, charger and charging conditions. For home use, GMC describes GM PowerUP or PowerUP+ Level 2 equipment and says professional installation is required. A Level 2 home charger is the relevant equipment category to consider, but verify connector compatibility and have the home electrical setup assessed rather than assuming an arbitrary charger or circuit is suitable. Cabin, displays and cargo utility
GMC lists a 13.4-inch diagonal central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch diagonal driver information display. An available Bose audio system has 14 speakers; removable Transparent Sky Panels, rear-folding and reclining seats, and a cargo floor with concealed storage are also listed features. Availability can vary by configuration.

The power eTrunk offers up to 11.3 cubic feet of storage, plus a 12-volt outlet, lighting and cargo D-rings, according to GMC’s 2025 model page. That figure is for the eTrunk, not total vehicle cargo capacity. A full cargo-volume figure is not established here, so it would be misleading to use the eTrunk number as a measure of all luggage space.

GM announced on May 15, 2025, that 2022–2025 HUMMER EV models were expected to receive King Crab off-road mode through an over-the-air update later that year. An expected rollout does not establish that every 2025 SUV received the update. If King Crab matters to a purchase, check the vehicle’s installed software and current owner guidance. GM’s announcement is at GM’s May 2025 release; its 2.8-second 0–60 claim concerns a Carbon Fiber Edition Pickup, not this SUV.

Who should consider the 2025 Hummer EV SUV?
The 2X and 3X pair a very large electric SUV format with manufacturer-claimed off-road features and high output. The 2X is the lower-starting-price choice and has GMC’s higher listed trim-level range figure. The 3X adds a third motor, higher manufacturer-listed output and GMC’s Watts to Freedom acceleration estimate. Neither trim should be chosen on a single headline number alone: check the exact configuration, available equipment, charging access and likely use.
