Gabriel Bortoleto tops two published rankings of 2025 Formula 1 crash damage, but they give him different totals: €3.1 million in a provisional euro list and $5.4 million in a dollar list published while three races remained. Neither is an audited final account, and the available evidence does not establish a complete final ranking for every driver.
Published 2025 F1 crash-damage estimates
The tables below preserve each publisher’s figures and currency rather than combining or converting them. Both rank the same ten drivers in the same order, but their totals are not interchangeable.

Why the reported totals differ
The rankings agree on their ten names and order, but not on the amounts. The accessible reports do not establish whether they use the same calculation, parts pricing, coverage window or currency-conversion method. Their agreement on rank therefore does not independently validate the underlying estimates. Keep the figures tied to their publisher, publication date and original currency; converting them would require specifying an exchange-rate date and would not resolve the methodological differences.
What “damage cost” means—and what it does not
These are reported estimates of crash damage, not public team invoices. Nonf1.com says the estimates it relays are approximate and based on open-source parts-price data. That description does not make individual driver totals independently auditable, nor does it establish what a team ultimately paid to repair a car.

FIA financial rules describe cost-cap reporting to the Cost Cap Administration and protections for confidential information, not a public driver-by-driver repair ledger. The FIA document available here is Issue 12, dated September 30, 2022; it is older than the 2025 season and should not be treated as a complete account of the rules applicable to 2025. Read the FIA Formula 1 Financial Regulations, Issue 12.
“Attributed to a driver” also does not mean the driver personally paid the amount. The reports concern estimated damage associated with drivers; they do not establish personal liability.

Does this cover every driver or give a final season total?
No complete, audited final table for all 2025 drivers is established by these sources. Nonf1.com and SEN publish top-ten lists, not a verified full-grid ledger. SEN’s figures were reported with three races remaining, while Nonf1.com calls its ranking provisional. They should be read as published estimates, not as a definitive end-of-season accounting.
A Yahoo Sports search-result excerpt gives a separate grid-wide estimate of more than $34.2 million and puts Bortoleto at around $6.8 million, Tsunoda around $5 million and Norris around $4 million. The full article was not accessible, so those figures cannot verify a final all-driver table or settle the differences between the other rankings. View the Yahoo Sports result.
