The 2025 Ducati Multistrada V4 is a model-year update, not a new generation. Ducati announced it on September 20, 2024, with dealership availability planned from October that year. The update brings sharper styling, expanded rear-cylinder deactivation, and new electronic and comfort features across the V4 family; the exact equipment depends on variant and market.
What’s new on the 2025 Ducati Multistrada V4?
Ducati describes a more aggressive front design and a reshaped silencer. The larger changes concern the V4 Granturismo engine’s deactivation strategy, revised rider-assistance and lighting functions, and equipment updates on the V4 S. These are manufacturer specifications and claims; they do not by themselves establish how the changes perform in independent road use.
- Engine: Rear-cylinder deactivation now operates in additional conditions, including while riding, rather than being limited to the previous strategy.
- V4 S suspension: Revised Skyhook DSS EVO control adds a fork sensor and bump detection, alongside self-levelling and an automatic lowering device.
- Electronics and lighting: The radar-equipped V4 S adds Forward Collision Warning. Ducati also cites revised emergency-braking signaling, improved cornering illumination, a Coming Home lighting function, and updated dashboard controls.
Engine, output, and Ducati’s fuel-consumption claim
Ducati specifies the V4 Granturismo as a 1,158 cc, Euro 5+ engine producing 170 hp at 10,750 rpm and 123.8 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. The figures are manufacturer specifications in its 2024 launch material: Ducati’s 2025 launch announcement.
Ducati says the extended rear-cylinder deactivation reduces consumption by 6% compared with the previous model. The release’s footnote identifies WMTC measurement, so this is a manufacturer-reported test-cycle comparison, not a promise of 6% better fuel economy in everyday riding. The cited material does not establish independent real-world consumption figures.

V4 S or Pikes Peak: which variant is different?
The V4 S is oriented toward touring comfort and electronic suspension features; the Pikes Peak is the sport-oriented choice. Ducati’s launch material supports the following hardware distinctions, but it is not a complete equipment or pricing matrix for every market.

The standard V4 and the two higher-spec variants should not be assumed to share every electronic feature. In particular, the launch materials do not support treating adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, or Forward Collision Warning as standard on every V4 in every country.

Does the 2025 Multistrada V4 have adaptive cruise control?
Ducati’s radar-equipped versions have Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD); the 2025 update adds Forward Collision Warning on the radar-equipped V4 S. Fitment varies by variant and market, so check the local 2025 specification rather than assuming all versions include the radar suite. Ducati USA’s retrieved product page is explicitly for MY24, not MY25, and should not be used to establish 2025 US equipment or pricing: Ducati USA’s MY24 V4 S page.
How does the V4 S lowering device work?
Ducati says the automatic lowering device can reduce ride height by up to 30 mm. According to the English launch release, it activates below 10 km/h and returns the motorcycle to riding height above 50 km/h. These are Ducati’s stated system thresholds; consult the manual for the motorcycle and market in question for applicable operating details.

Connectivity, colors, and availability
Ducati Connect supports navigation and phone calls or music through the dashboard when paired with a compatible phone and a helmet fitted with an intercom. Compatibility depends on the phone and intercom, so check those requirements before choosing equipment.
Ducati’s September 20, 2024 announcement said the 2025 model would reach dealerships from October 2024 and listed Ducati Red, Thrilling Black, and Arctic White. That was the launch schedule, not confirmation of current local inventory. Availability, colors, and equipment should be checked with Ducati or a local dealer.

It therefore does not establish real-world fuel economy, comparative ride quality, reliability over time, or current local pricing and stock. Treat Ducati’s 6% consumption figure as a WMTC-based comparison with the previous model, not an independently verified everyday result.
