The 2025 Chevrolet Trax starts at $20,500 in the U.S. and is offered in five trims, topping out at $24,500 before options and dealer charges. Every trim has the same front-wheel-drive 1.2-liter turbo three-cylinder and six-speed automatic; the main differences are styling and equipment. Chevrolet estimates 30 mpg combined and lists up to 54.1 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seat folded.
2025 Chevrolet Trax price and trim levels
Chevrolet’s U.S. model page lists the following starting prices. They are advertised starting prices, not a quote for a particular dealer or configured vehicle; optional equipment and dealer charges can change the total.

Chevrolet’s official 2025 Trax page lists these trim prices and equipment. As an example of how configuration affects cost, one 2025 LS window sticker shows a $20,500 MSRP, a $1,395 original shipping charge and a $23,635 retail price after its listed options. That is one vehicle’s sticker, not the price of every LS.
Canadian pricing is separate
For Canada, Chevrolet’s build material lists starting prices in Canadian dollars: LS at CAD $27,843, 1RS at CAD $29,343, LT at CAD $30,643, and 2RS and ACTIV at CAD $32,343. A configured 2RS summary shows CAD $32,342.50 including destination freight and listed charges. These are Canadian-market figures and should not be compared directly with U.S. prices without accounting for currency, market, configuration and date. Engine, transmission, drivetrain and towing
All five 2025 Trax trims use an ECOTEC 1.2-liter turbocharged inline three-cylinder rated at 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Trax is front-wheel drive; Chevrolet says the 2025 model is not available with all-wheel drive. Chevrolet also says the Trax is not rated to tow. The engine accepts regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum 87 octane, and Chevrolet notes E85 compatibility. Fuel economy
Chevrolet gives a GM-estimated 30 mpg combined for the 2025 Trax. A specific U.S. LS window sticker lists 28 mpg city and 32 mpg highway; those ratings apply to that sticker’s listed configuration and are not a promise of real-world fuel use. Driving conditions, habits and vehicle setup affect actual mileage. The configuration-specific figures appear on the LS window sticker.

Canadian-market fuel estimates are published separately. Chevrolet Canada lists 8.5 L/100 km city and 7.6 L/100 km highway for the 2025 model; those figures use Canadian-market units and should not be blended with U.S. mpg ratings. See Chevrolet Canada’s Trax page.
Interior space, cargo and dimensions
Chevrolet lists seating for five, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat and a maximum cargo volume of 54.1 cubic feet with the rear seat folded. The 2025 feature sheet lists 41.9 inches of front legroom and 38.7 inches of rear legroom, with front and rear headroom of 39.6 and 38.1 inches, respectively. Overall length is 178.6 inches and width without mirrors is 71.8 inches. Listed height is 61.4 inches on LS and 1RS, and 61.7 inches on LT, 2RS and ACTIV. The 2025 sheet establishes the maximum cargo figure with the rear seats folded, but does not provide a behind-the-rear-seat cargo figure in the material cited here. Chevrolet’s release for the related 2024 model gives 25.6 cubic feet behind the rear seat and 54.1 cubic feet folded; that is model-family context from 2024, not a verified 2025 behind-seat measurement. Technology and safety equipment
Chevrolet lists an 11-inch diagonal color touchscreen as available, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Equipment varies by trim and configuration, so check the specific vehicle’s equipment list when comparing listings.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard. Chevrolet lists these included systems:

- Forward Collision Alert
- IntelliBeam automatic high beams
A Rear Vision Camera is also standard. Chevrolet lists Rear Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert among available features. Availability depends on configuration. Driver-assistance systems have operating limits and do not replace attentive driving.
