The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 pairs a 1,064-hp twin-turbo V8 with manufacturer-claimed 0–60 mph times as quick as 2.3 seconds when equipped with the optional ZTK track package. Chevrolet announced U.S. starting MSRPs of $174,995 for the coupe and $184,995 for the hardtop convertible, including destination. The first-drive account discussed here is a GM-arranged passenger ride at Circuit of the Americas, not an independent test drive.
What is the 2025 Corvette ZR1?
The ZR1 is the 2025 model-year C8 Corvette flagship. Chevrolet calls it the most powerful Corvette, built around a 5.5-liter, twin-turbocharged, DOHC V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft, designated LT7. Chevrolet rates the engine at 1,064 hp at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm under SAE guidelines. Chevrolet’s July 2024 announcement describes the powertrain and its ratings.
GM News senior editor Bob Sorokanich’s published first-drive account followed a passenger ride at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), with Corvette lead development engineer Chris Barber driving. Sorokanich described the acceleration, braking and cornering as unlike anything he had experienced, but this was an invited demonstration—not an instrumented test by an independent outlet. Read Sorokanich’s account.
How much does the 2025 Corvette ZR1 cost?
Chevrolet announced the following U.S. starting MSRPs on January 9, 2025. Each figure includes the $1,695 destination freight charge (DFC), but excludes tax, title, license, dealer fees and options. These are announced MSRPs, not a statement of current dealer asking or transaction prices; Chevrolet says dealers set the final price. See Chevrolet’s pricing announcement.

|---|---|---|
| 1LZ | $174,995 | $184,995 |
| 3LZ | $185,995 | $195,995 |
The coupe and hardtop convertible are separate body-style choices; 1LZ and 3LZ are the listed trim levels. The figures above do not establish what a particular dealer has in inventory or what a specific vehicle will cost after options and dealer pricing.
How fast is the Corvette ZR1 from 0 to 60?
Chevrolet quotes different acceleration figures for the standard ZR1 and a car fitted with ZTK. Its December 2024 release says the figures are from closed-course testing, with timing beginning at initial vehicle movement; the quarter-mile runs used 93-octane pump fuel on a non-prepped drag strip. They are manufacturer figures, not a common independent comparison. Chevrolet’s acceleration release provides the test conditions.

| Configuration | 0–60 mph | Quarter-mile | Quarter-mile trap speed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard ZR1 | 2.5 seconds | 9.7 seconds | 152 mph |
| ZR1 with ZTK | 2.3 seconds | 9.6 seconds | 150 mph |
The figures show a small trade-off in Chevrolet’s claims: the ZTK-equipped car is quicker to 60 mph and through the quarter-mile, while the standard car has the higher quoted quarter-mile trap speed. The ZTK times apply to that package configuration, not every ZR1.
How it compares with other C8 Corvettes
Chevrolet’s same release gives these 0–60 mph times for eighth-generation Corvettes, with different available-package assumptions. Treat them as manufacturer figures, not results from a single independent test under identical conditions.

What does the ZTK package add?
ZTK is an optional track-focused configuration, not standard equipment. Chevrolet’s pricing release says it requires the Carbon Fiber Aero Package. The company describes ZTK as adding high-downforce carbon-fiber aero, stiffer springs and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R ZP tires. Chevrolet listed the Carbon Fiber Aero Package at $8,495 and ZTK at $1,500 in its January 2025 announcement; those are announced option prices and should not be assumed to be current dealer pricing. The pricing release lists the options, and Chevrolet’s track-record release describes the package hardware.
Chevrolet said the carbon-fiber aero package can produce more than 1,200 pounds of downforce at top speed. That is a manufacturer description of the package’s aerodynamic capability, not a claim that the figure applies at every speed or in every ZR1 configuration.

What is the Corvette ZR1’s top speed?
Chevrolet reported a 233-mph top speed on track in its January 2025 pricing release. This is a manufacturer-reported track figure, not an independent test result or a public-road performance claim. The July 2024 product announcement had earlier described a GM-estimated top speed above 215 mph; the later 233-mph figure is Chevrolet’s subsequent reported claim. Chevrolet reported five U.S. track records in February 2025. The record-setting car was pre-production and equipped with ZTK, so these times should not be treated as independently verified results for every production ZR1.
