The Luxury specification includes seven-passenger seating. This is the XT6 configuration to consider if you want the lower-output engine and its published FWD fuel-economy estimate rather than the V6; verify the actual drivetrain and seating layout on the vehicle listing.
Premium Luxury: available V6
Premium Luxury is associated with the available 3.6-liter V6, rated at 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft. Consider it if engine output or the V6’s cited towing capacity matters to you. Compare the actual vehicle’s drivetrain, options and seating arrangement, not just the trim name.

Sport: V6, Sport Control AWD and Brembo brakes
Cadillac identifies the V6 with Sport and describes Sport Control AWD as exclusive to that trim. Sport also has front Brembo brakes. These distinctions make Sport the trim to investigate if you want those specific features; the brochure does not make them a reason to assume every Sport-branded vehicle has identical options, so check the individual configuration.

The horsepower, torque and FWD mileage figures are Cadillac’s 2025 specifications; the fuel economy numbers are GM estimates, not a guarantee of real-world results. Drivetrain and trim affect which configurations are offered and their estimates. Cadillac also lists AWD figures by configuration in its 2025 brochure, so use the figure for the exact vehicle you are considering.

Cadillac cites up to 4,000 pounds of towing capacity with the V6. “Up to” is configuration-dependent: before towing, consult the vehicle’s owner’s manual and confirm that the vehicle has the correct trailering equipment and is rated for the load in your circumstances.
How usable are the third row and cargo area?
The XT6 measures 198.5 inches long, with a 113-inch wheelbase. Cadillac lists 12.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, 43.1 behind the second row and 78.7 behind the first. The smallest figure is the one to focus on if you routinely carry passengers in all three rows: assess your regular bags, stroller or sports gear against the space available with the third row upright.

Edmunds describes the third row as roomy enough for most adults, but that is the outlet’s assessment rather than a guarantee of comfort for every passenger or trip. Bring the people who will use it to a test drive and check legroom, access, seat belts and cargo trade-offs in the exact seating configuration.

Edmunds’ review credits the XT6 with a quiet interior and easy-to-use infotainment, while also raising concerns about value relative to competitors. Cadillac’s 2024 media document describes an 8-inch diagonal touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, standard Cadillac Smart System driver-awareness features, and an available Driver Assist Package and Super Cruise. Because that document covers the 2024 model, verify the 2025 vehicle’s equipment and package availability in its own documentation or window sticker rather than assuming every detail carried over. Is the Cadillac XT6 a good three-row luxury SUV?
The XT6 merits a closer look if you want a Cadillac three-row SUV, value a quiet cabin and straightforward infotainment, and can match the trim’s engine and cargo capacity to your use. The key compromises to assess are the limited 12.6 cubic feet behind the third row and whether the actual quote represents good value against similarly equipped alternatives. - Measure your real-world cargo needs with all three rows in place.
- Compare written local quotes for like-for-like drivetrains, options and fees.
- Verify driver-assistance and infotainment equipment on the model-year-specific vehicle documentation.
