The 2025 Buick Encore GX is listed in Preferred, Sport Touring and Avenir trims, with front-wheel drive (FWD) standard and all-wheel drive (AWD) available. A model-year specification listing shows prices from $25,940 to $33,100, while a contemporaneous launch report gives different trim starting prices that include destination. Buick reports EPA-estimated fuel economy of 29/31 mpg city/highway for FWD and 26/28 mpg for AWD. The price figures are list-price references, not current dealer quotes.
2025 Buick Encore GX prices by trim and drivetrain
Cars.com’s 2025 model-year specifications page labels the following figures as MSRP. They are listed prices, not a measure of current inventory pricing, discounts, taxes, fees or out-the-door cost.

Cars.com’s 2025 Encore GX specifications lists the six trim-and-drivetrain MSRP figures. A separate Cars.com launch report gives starting prices of $27,295 for Preferred, $28,495 for Sport Touring and $32,795 for Avenir, each including $1,295 destination. Those are different price bases; do not add destination to one set or compare them as if they were identical MSRP figures. Cars.com’s 2025 pricing report is the source for the destination-included amounts.
For a specific vehicle, use its window sticker to confirm installed packages and options, and get a current dealer quote to determine the actual selling price. Regional fees, incentives and dealer charges are not established by these list-price references.

What changes across Preferred, Sport Touring and Avenir?
The 2025 lineup comprises Preferred, Sport Touring and Avenir. Trim names alone do not establish the equipment on a particular car: packages, drivetrain and installed options matter, so check the vehicle’s window sticker.
Preferred
Preferred is the entry trim and is offered with FWD or AWD. The 2024 brochure identifies the 1.2L turbo on Preferred FWD and the 1.3L turbo on Preferred AWD; that is 2024 configuration evidence, not confirmation of 2025 engine fitment.

Sport Touring
Sport Touring is the more distinctively styled choice. Buick’s 2024 brochure describes gloss-black wheels and grille for that trim, while Cars.com’s 2025 report also describes trim-specific wheel, interior and equipment differences. Confirm the exact 2025 content on the particular vehicle’s sticker.
Avenir
Avenir is the top trim, with distinct design and feature content described in Buick’s 2024 brochure and Cars.com’s 2025 report. Equipment can vary by configuration; the sticker is the definitive source for a car being considered.

Fuel economy, seating and cargo capacity
Buick’s current SUV overview reports 2025 Encore GX EPA-estimated fuel economy of 29 mpg city and 31 mpg highway with FWD, or 26 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with AWD. It also lists seating for up to five and maximum cargo capacity of 50.2 cubic feet. The overview is a current Buick page that includes several 2025 specifications, even though the page itself presents the 2026 SUV lineup.

These 2025 figures are reported on Buick’s Encore GX overview. For more detail, Buick’s 2024 brochure lists 23.5 cu. ft. behind the rear seats and 50.2 cu. ft. with the rear seats folded, measured with the cargo floor lowered. It gives a 102.0-inch wheelbase, 171.1-inch overall length and 71.3-inch body width; these are 2024 brochure measurements, not separately confirmed 2025 measurements.

Engines and specifications: what is confirmed for 2024
Buick’s detailed brochure covers the 2024 Encore GX. It should not be treated as proof of 2025 engine specifications without checking the 2025 vehicle’s window sticker or other model-year-specific documentation.

The engine, output and 2024 fuel-economy figures above come from Buick’s 2024 Encore GX brochure. The 2024 FWD Preferred’s 30-mpg city estimate differs from the 2025 FWD estimate Buick currently reports; do not transfer the older figure to a 2025 vehicle.

Photos and design details
Buick’s brochure contains 2024 trim photography, and Cars.com’s 2025 specifications page shows a 2025 Preferred image. Images should be read as illustrations of the identified year and trim, not proof that a pictured car has a particular option package or matches every vehicle on sale.
Buick introduced the refreshed Encore GX for 2024 with a revised exterior and what it called the Virtual Cockpit System: an 11-inch infotainment display paired with an 8-inch configurable driver display. Its 2023 announcement also said wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility were standard and wireless charging was available on the announced model. How to compare a specific 2025 Encore GX
- Match the trim and drivetrain. Confirm whether the vehicle is Preferred, Sport Touring or Avenir, and whether it is FWD or AWD.
- Read the window sticker. Verify the model year, MSRP, destination charge, installed packages and options. Do not assume a photo or trim description proves the equipment on that car.
- Compare the quote with the sticker. Ask the dealer to itemize selling price, dealer fees, taxes, incentives and any accessories so the out-the-door total is clear.
- Compare fuel economy for the drivetrain. Buick reports the FWD and AWD estimates separately; choose based on your needs rather than applying one rating to every trim.
- Confirm 2025-specific technical details. The detailed engine and dimension data available here are for 2024. Use documentation for the specific 2025 vehicle to confirm engine, output and equipment.
Optional Encore GX accessories
Buick Accessories lists hitch part 60003508 for Encore GX model years 2020–2026, including 2025, with a 1¼-inch receiver. The part’s 1,000-lb label is not the vehicle’s tow rating. Buick says towing must stay within vehicle and hitch limits; passengers, cargo, options and accessories can reduce capacity.
