The 2025 BMW M3 Sedan starts at a U.S. base MSRP of $76,000, before a $1,175 destination and handling charge. BMW also offers the M3 Competition and Competition with M xDrive, which differ in power, transmission, drivetrain and price. Here are the three variants’ announced prices and factory specifications, plus the changes BMW introduced for 2025.
2025 BMW M3 Sedan prices in the U.S.
BMW USA announced the following model-year 2025 base prices on May 28, 2024. The totals below add BMW’s stated $1,175 destination and handling charge; they are not dealer quotes or current transaction prices.

2025 BMW M3 specifications by variant
All three are four-door, five-seat sedans powered by a 2,993 cc (3.0-liter) turbocharged inline-six with BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology. Their key differences are output, gearbox, driven wheels and curb weight.

BMW lists the same exterior dimensions for each version: 189.1 inches long, 74.3 inches wide and 56.6 inches high, with a 112.5-inch wheelbase. Each has 16.9 cubic feet of luggage capacity. The figures are BMW factory specifications in its U.S. model-year 2025 announcement.
What changed for the 2025 model year?
BMW says the Competition with M xDrive gains 20 hp for 2025 through an optimized engine-management configuration, bringing its stated output to 523 hp. BMW also lists redesigned headlights, new forged alloy wheels, new steering wheels and interior trim, and the introduction of BMW Operating System 8.5. These are manufacturer-reported model-year changes.

BMW announced a worldwide production phase-in beginning in July 2024, with the M3 Sedan built at BMW Group Plant Munich. The timing and production location are from BMW’s May 2024 release.
