Those are federal estimates for specific configurations—not guarantees of how far every i7 will travel on a charge.
2025 BMW i7 range by version
The 2025 U.S. lineup included the eDrive50, xDrive60, and M70. The figures below come from the 2025 Fuel Economy Guide, published by the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Each figure is tied to the wheel configuration listed; other configurations can have different ratings.

How to interpret the EPA range
An EPA estimate is a useful basis for comparing versions tested in specified configurations, but it is not a trip-distance guarantee. BMW says attainable range can vary with the vehicle model, tire and wheel selection, driving style, traffic, battery charge level when charging begins, and outside temperatures. See BMW USA’s EV range information and its EV range FAQ.
#1 Best Overall
- Brand new box. Authentic detail. Real rubber tires. True-to-scale detail. Detailed wheel design. Detailed under-chassis. Soft rubber side mirrors. Detailed interior, exterior. Comes in a blister pack. Officially licensed product. Die-cast metal body and chassis. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Dimensions approximately L-3.25 inches long.
For your own driving, consider the mix of highway and city travel, typical speeds, seasonal temperatures, wheel configuration, and opportunities to recharge. A rating for one wheel setup should not be assumed to apply to every car carrying the same trim badge.
Choosing among eDrive50, xDrive60, and M70
The available evidence establishes the three U.S. variants and the specific EPA range entries above, but not a complete 2025 price list or feature-by-feature equipment comparison. Use the range figures as one comparison point, then check a VIN-specific build sheet and current local pricing for the car you are considering.

- eDrive50: Its cited 19-inch-wheel EPA rating is 314 miles.
- xDrive60: Its cited 19-inch-wheel EPA rating is 311 miles. Compare the exact vehicle’s configuration and the drivetrain or performance priorities that matter to you.
- M70 xDrive: Its cited 20-inch-wheel EPA rating is 268 miles. The lower rating is for this listed configuration; do not use it to infer a result for a different wheel setup.
Charging and home setup
Home Level 2 charging is worth considering as part of ownership planning for a battery-electric luxury sedan. Before buying equipment or arranging installation, confirm the connector and charging compatibility for the specific 2025 U.S. car, along with your electrical service and installation requirements. The model-year-specific charging time and connector details are not established here, so do not rely on specifications from a current BMW page unless it clearly identifies the 2025 vehicle. BMW’s current technical and range information may describe later model years.

BMW announced a refreshed 7 Series in April 2026. Its announcement describes a newer battery with up to 112.5 kWh of usable energy and a maximum charging rate of 250 kW; those are 2026-refresh figures, not established specifications for the 2025 i7. The refresh also cites 10–80% charging in 28 minutes under stated conditions. Do not apply that time to the 2025 model. See BMW Group’s 2026 7 Series announcement.

- The BMW i7 xDrive60 variations
The i7 is BMW’s all-electric 7 Series sedan, but a general description of the model line does not substitute for a model-year-specific specification. BMW’s i7 launch announcement provides historical context; consult documentation for the particular vehicle when verifying equipment or charging details.
