U.S. recall records filed or issued in 2025 identify several campaigns involving selected Audi vehicles, including certain 2025 A5, A6, S5 and Q6 e-tron models. The records reviewed cover campaigns 25V899, 25V777, 25V900 and 25V225, but do not establish a complete census of every 2025-filed campaign involving a 2025-model-year Audi. A model name alone cannot confirm whether a particular car is affected: check its VIN with Audi or NHTSA.
Which 2025 Audi models have recalls?
The campaigns below are U.S. records filed or issued during calendar year 2025. The table describes what the available official documents establish; it is not a claim that every vehicle of a listed model is included. Some campaigns cover selected production batches or vehicles with specified parts or software, and one filing does not provide a complete model list.
| Campaign | Models or population identified | Issue and documented remedy |
|---|---|---|
| 25V899 | Selected 2025 Audi A5, A6, S5, Q6 e-tron, SQ6 Sportback e-tron, Q6 Sportback e-tron, A6 Sportback e-tron and S6 Sportback e-tron vehicles; affected production batches only. | A damaged spring cassette in the automatic-locking seat-belt retractor may prevent its locking pawl from engaging, allowing the belt webbing to extend more than permitted. NHTSA’s acknowledgement describes the issue as “Seat Belt Retractor May Fail to Secure Child Seat/FMVSS 208.” Confirm eligibility and arrange the manufacturer’s remedy through an Audi dealer. NHTSA acknowledgement |
| 25V777 | A selected production lot of Audi vehicles. The filing excerpt available here does not establish the complete model list or VIN population. | A safety-belt buckle issue; the stated remedy is replacement of the affected driver and front-passenger buckles. Audi reported that it was not aware of crashes, fires, injuries or deaths associated with the defect when it submitted the filing. This is a separate campaign from 25V899, which concerns the retractor. |
| 25V900 | Selected Audi vehicles equipped with specified parts or software versions, as identified from production records. The filings include a 2025 model-year A6 entry; other listed ranges cover multiple Audi lines. See also the companion report. | A software-related issue with a software remedy. The filings do not support treating every 2025 Audi as affected; use the VIN lookup to establish eligibility and current remedy status. |
| 25V225 | The dealer bulletin does not establish that every 2025 Audi model was affected. Confirm the campaign for the individual vehicle. | The dealer bulletin specifies replacement of the affected rearview camera. Surround-view cameras with the same part number in other locations would also be replaced if necessary. The bulletin planned owner notification in May 2025. |
Is my 2025 Audi affected by a recall?
Use the vehicle identification number (VIN), not just the model and model year. NHTSA distinguishes its lookup for a specific vehicle’s unrepaired recall status from a year/make/model search, which returns broader information such as recalls, investigations, complaints and manufacturer communications. Audi also asks owners to enter the 17-character VIN to check applicable recalls and service campaigns.
- Find the vehicle’s 17-character VIN.
- Enter it in the Audi recall lookup and review any applicable recall or service-campaign results.
- Check the same VIN with NHTSA’s recall lookup for unrepaired recall status.
- If a campaign appears, contact an Audi dealer to confirm the vehicle’s eligibility and arrange the manufacturer-prescribed repair.
Recall populations and repair status can change. The lookup is the practical way to determine whether a particular car has an applicable unrepaired campaign; a general model-year list cannot answer that by itself.

What should I do if a recall appears?
Follow the recall notice and manufacturer or dealer instructions rather than attempting to substitute a consumer repair or replacement part. NHTSA says manufacturers must provide a proper remedy and advises owners who receive a recall notice to contact a local dealership. See NHTSA’s recall guidance.
