The 2025 Aston Martin Vanquish pairs a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 with a two-seat, front-engined luxury GT layout. Aston Martin claims 835 PS, 1,000 Nm of torque, a 0–62 mph time of 3.3 seconds and a 214 mph (345 km/h) top speed. The 214 mph figure is the manufacturer’s specification—not an independently verified result in the reviewed material.
How fast is the 2025 Aston Martin Vanquish?
Aston Martin quotes a top speed of 214 mph (345 km/h) and acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 3.3 seconds. Those are manufacturer claims published in its launch announcement and current U.S. model information, rather than independent instrumented results.
Car and Driver lists a 0–60 mph estimate, but says it had not tested the car itself for acceleration results. That estimate should not be treated as a measured test or directly substituted for Aston Martin’s 0–62 mph claim: the speed intervals differ, and the publication’s figure is not an instrumented result.
What engine is in the 2025 Vanquish?
The Vanquish uses a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12. Aston Martin specifies 835 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque. PS is metric horsepower; it is not the same unit as U.S. mechanical horsepower.

Aston Martin says the engine has a strengthened cylinder block and connecting rods, reprofiled camshafts, redesigned cylinder heads, revised intake and exhaust ports, repositioned spark plugs, higher-flow fuel injectors and reduced-inertia turbochargers. The company says the turbos’ maximum speed is 15% higher and injector flow is 10% greater than in the prior setup. These are manufacturer descriptions and comparisons, not independently measured results.
The company also describes a Boost Reserve function that builds boost under partial-throttle demand to improve response when the driver asks for full power. In its explanation, this is a response strategy; the available specifications do not establish an independently measured improvement in acceleration.

How does the Vanquish put its power down?
The V12 drives the rear wheels through a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and an electronic rear differential. Aston Martin says the differential can move from fully open to 100% locked in 135 milliseconds.
The chassis uses a bonded-aluminium structure, double-wishbone front suspension, multi-link rear suspension, Bilstein DTX dampers and 21-inch Pirelli P Zero tyres, according to Aston Martin. Car and Driver’s initial-drive review reports that the rear tyres can struggle to put the engine’s power down; that is a publication’s driving impression, not a standardized traction measurement.

What makes the Vanquish Aston Martin’s flagship?
The Vanquish is the brand’s front-engined flagship: a high-output V12 in a two-seat luxury GT rather than a rear-seat-oriented grand tourer. Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll described its role at launch: “With the introduction of Vanquish we have crowned Aston Martin’s next-generation sports car portfolio.”
Chief Technical Officer Roberto Fedeli explained the choice of engine: “It was inconceivable that a new Aston Martin flagship should be powered by anything other than a state-of-the-art V12.” The quotes express the company’s positioning; they are not independent assessments of the car’s performance.
