The 2025 Aston Martin DBX707 is better where owners are likely to notice it most: the cabin is easier to use, with a modern infotainment system and more conventional controls. Its formidable V8 performance carries over, while revised suspension calibration aims to sharpen body control. That makes the refresh a meaningful improvement—not proof that it is objectively the best luxury performance SUV.
What changed for 2025?
Aston Martin announced the DBX707 update on April 22, 2024, describing it as a new cabin and technology package alongside chassis refinements. Production and first deliveries were scheduled for the second quarter of 2024. The changes address a clear weakness in the outgoing cabin without replacing the powertrain that defines the DBX707.
A more usable cabin and infotainment system
The refreshed interior gets Aston Martin’s in-house multimedia system, a 12.3-inch driver display and a 10.25-inch central touchscreen. The system supports smartphone integration, connected services and multiple USB-C ports. Aston Martin’s launch announcement lists wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; for the 2025 U.S. model, Edmunds reports wireless Apple CarPlay but wired Android Auto, so the Android connection method should not be assumed to be the same in every market. Crucially, Aston Martin did not put every task on the touchscreen: physical buttons remain for key mechanical and climate functions. Edmunds reviewer Brian Wong found the updated system more responsive and noted the addition of a surround-view camera. MotorTrend reviewer Alexander Stoklosa says the redesign also fixes practical annoyances involving the previous door handles and limited storage. Car and Driver’s review offers a useful caveat: the new interface is a major improvement over the old one, but using Apple CarPlay can still involve frustrating navigation between functions. Revised chassis calibration, familiar powertrain
Aston Martin recalibrated the electronic dampers and air springs to improve transient body control, response and precision. The core engine and transmission remain: an AMG-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with a nine-speed wet-clutch automatic. The all-wheel-drive system can send up to 100% of engine torque to the rear axle on demand, according to the manufacturer. How fast is the DBX707?
Aston Martin quotes 707 PS—equivalent to 697 bhp—and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque. The “707” name refers to metric horsepower; U.S. coverage commonly states the output as 697 hp. Aston Martin claims 0–60 mph in 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent results from a controlled test of this particular 2025 review car. What is it like to drive?
Reviewers describe a large SUV that can feel unusually composed in corners and lively when driven hard. Edmunds’ Wong reports strikingly flat cornering and strong balance from the active suspension. MotorTrend’s Stoklosa describes a playful character, with active roll control and torque distribution helping make the rear end more adjustable in aggressive drive modes. Ride comfort depends on the road and wheels
The reviews agree that the DBX707 can settle into a composed cruise, but they do not describe one uniformly soft ride. MotorTrend found its GT-mode test car quiet and comfortable even on optional 23-inch wheels. Car and Driver reports that its 23-inch-wheel example felt lumpy over urban bumps at low speeds, then settled as speed rose; its adaptive air suspension and dampers handled undulating roads well. Car and Driver also notes that the SUV’s mass becomes apparent in tighter changes of direction. Wheel choice and road conditions matter to the experience.

How practical is it for everyday use?
The cabin update makes routine interaction less of a compromise: smartphone integration, a surround-view camera and retained physical controls address everyday usability, while the revised handles and storage improve details called out by MotorTrend. Edmunds reports space for adult rear-seat passengers or child seats and lists 22.5 cubic feet of cargo volume. Treat that volume as the reviewer’s reported context rather than a current, market-specific shopping specification. (Edmunds)
It is still a large, high-performance luxury SUV, not a small or inexpensive family vehicle. The first-drive accounts suggest the refresh makes daily use more agreeable, but they do not establish that the DBX707 is more practical than every rival.

What did the 2025 DBX707 cost?
U.S. review prices published in 2024 put the model’s base price at $253,000 in Car and Driver. MotorTrend gave a $249,000–$253,000 starting range, depending on how destination was presented, and reported that options could add six figures; its extensively optioned example was listed at $350,500. Is the 2025 DBX707 better than the best?
The update makes the DBX707 a stronger all-round proposition: it tackles a conspicuous cabin-tech weakness, retains an exceptionally powerful V8, and refines the suspension without discarding the playful handling character reviewers describe. Cars.com’s Aaron Bragman calls it rewarding to drive and a pricey but worthy ultra-luxury SUV. That is an attributed verdict, not evidence of a universal ranking. (Cars.com)

Whether it is “better than the best” depends on what a buyer means by best. A fair comparison with another high-performance luxury SUV would weigh cabin and interface usability, ride quality at both low and higher speeds, handling and body control, acceleration, purchase price and options, and priorities such as design, exclusivity and practicality. The available first drives offer impressions on the DBX707, not controlled, like-for-like testing across every competitor. The defensible conclusion is narrower: the 2025 refresh removes a significant usability shortcoming while preserving the performance and character that make this SUV distinctive.
