The 2025 Acura RDX gets a styling and cabin refresh, but Acura’s published information does not establish that it beats rival SUVs. Its clearest case is a 272-hp turbocharged engine, listed SH-AWD, five packages, and updated infotainment and interior details. What’s new for the 2025 Acura RDX?
Acura describes the 2025 RDX as an update to the existing model, not a new powertrain generation. Its feature guide highlights exterior styling changes, a redesigned center console, and a widescreen mode for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The exterior updates include a frameless Diamond Pentagon mesh grille, refreshed body accent panels, and updated wheels. Acura’s 2025 RDX feature guide is the source for these manufacturer-described changes.
The guide also lists four Integrated Dynamics System modes: Sport, Normal, Comfort, and Snow. Adaptive dampers are listed for the Advance and A-Spec Advance packages, with different tuning emphasis. These are feature descriptions, not independent assessments of ride or handling.
What engine and fuel economy does the 2025 RDX have?
Acura’s U.S. specification sheet lists the same basic powertrain across the 2025 lineup: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 272 hp at 6,500 rpm and 280 lb-ft of torque from 1,600 to 4,500 rpm, paired with a 10-speed automatic. Acura lists EPA fuel economy of 21 mpg city, 27 highway, and 23 combined for most packages. The A-Spec is listed at 21 city, 26 highway, and 23 combined. The specification sheet recommends premium unleaded gasoline with 91 octane. Confirm ratings and requirements for the exact vehicle you are considering.
How much does the 2025 Acura RDX cost?
Acura’s U.S. pricing page lists the following model-year starting prices. These are manufacturer-listed starting prices, not current dealer quotes or verified transaction prices. The page warns that some package and color combinations may be unavailable; availability and pricing can vary by location and change over time.

A useful comparison should match trim and drivetrain, then examine transaction prices, fuel economy, standard safety and comfort equipment, warranty, cargo capacity measured on the same basis, and independent road tests. Do not treat Acura’s manufacturer figures as directly equivalent to another vehicle’s independently tested results. The available information here does not provide comparable test results or current rival pricing, so it cannot support an objective “RDX wins” verdict.
