The 2024 Yamaha XT250 is a 249cc, five-speed dual-sport motorcycle with a Yamaha-estimated 76 mpg fuel economy, 291-pound wet weight and a 32.7-inch seat height on Yamaha’s U.S. specification page. Its U.S. starting MSRP was $5,399, plus $375 destination; those figures are manufacturer pricing, not an out-the-door quote.

These are Yamaha’s listed U.S.-model specifications for the 2024 model year. Wet weight includes standard equipment and fluids, including a full fuel tank.

Seat height and fit
Yamaha’s dedicated 2024 specification page lists a 32.7-inch seat height. Its feature page gives a different figure—31.9 inches—and the reason for the discrepancy is not established. For specification comparisons, use the dedicated spec page’s 32.7-inch value rather than combining the two.
A seat-height number alone cannot establish whether the motorcycle will fit a particular rider. If fit is a deciding factor, check the bike in person and consider the rider’s inseam, footwear, riding posture and intended terrain.

Fuel economy and range
Yamaha lists 76 mpg as an estimate, not a guaranteed result or an independently measured figure. Actual mileage can vary with conditions and use; the available manufacturer figure does not establish a real-world range.
Yamaha lists a 2.5-gallon fuel capacity, reduced to 2.2 gallons on the California model. Do not treat a calculation using the estimated mpg and tank capacity as a promised distance between fill-ups.

Equipment and intended use
Yamaha markets the XT250 as a dual sport for “On- or off-road” use. Its listed equipment includes electric start, fuel injection, front and rear disc brakes, long-travel suspension, an LCD instrument panel, a halogen headlight, passenger seat and foot pegs, and adjustable rear preload. 2024 Yamaha XT250 price
United States
Yamaha’s U.S. product page lists a $5,399 starting MSRP and $375 destination charge for the 2024 XT250. Yamaha says tax, title, preparation, license and registration charges may be additional, and dealers set actual prices. Ask a dealer for a current out-the-door quote rather than treating MSRP plus destination as the final purchase total. The product page’s financing promotion ended September 30, 2026, so it is not a current offer.

Yamaha Motor Canada showed a separate Canadian starting figure of $6,999, including $800 for freight, PDI and fees. This is Canadian-market pricing and should not be compared directly with the U.S. dollar amounts.
