The 2024 SVE Yenko/SC Stage III Camaro is a Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) build based on the Camaro SS 1LE—not a Chevrolet factory trim. SVE’s reported headline figure is 1,500 horsepower, but the available reporting does not prove it is the most powerful Camaro ever built. The number is an advertised build figure, not a verified all-time record or an independently documented test result.
What is the 2024 Yenko/SC Stage III Camaro?
It is a limited SVE conversion built from a Chevrolet Camaro SS fitted with the 1LE performance package. The Stage III name refers to SVE’s specialty package, not a factory Chevrolet model designation. Motor Authority’s October 2023 report describes a supercharged 7.0-liter V-8 based on a bored-and-stroked GM 6.6-liter iron block, with forged internals also described by GM Authority. These detailed specifications come from secondary reporting; they are not independently verified measurements.
The Stage III should not be confused with SVE’s separate 750-hp 2024 Yenko/SC Camaro. SVE lists that distinct model for specified LT1 and SS trims, with a 3.0-liter twin-screw supercharger and a 50-car allocation. Those specifications and that allocation do not describe the Stage III. SVE’s page for the separate 750-hp model also says its emissions executive order was pending; that statement does not establish the Stage III’s emissions status.
How much horsepower does it have?
Motor Authority and GM Authority both reported SVE’s Stage III output as 1,500 hp in October 2023. That is the advertised or reported figure; neither source establishes an independently measured dyno result. For context, Chevrolet rated the 2024 Camaro ZL1 at 650 hp. The comparison is between SVE’s modified-build claim and Chevrolet’s factory rating, not between two identically tested cars.

The “most powerful Camaro ever” wording needs the same qualification. The reports support a 1,500-hp claim for this build, but do not establish a verified record across every modified Camaro. A factory-model comparison is narrower: the Stage III’s advertised output is well above the 650-hp factory rating of the 2024 ZL1.
Torque figures conflict
The two October 2023 reports do not agree on torque. Motor Authority gives 1,280 lb-ft; GM Authority gives 1,350 lb-ft. The available reporting does not resolve the difference, so neither figure should be treated as definitively confirmed.

Engine, transmission, and 1LE equipment
Motor Authority reports that the Stage III uses a supercharged 7.0-liter V-8 built around a GM 6.6-liter iron block, and that this version uses a six-speed manual transmission. Its account also says much of the SS 1LE’s track-oriented equipment remains.
- Magnetic dampers
- Electronic limited-slip differential
- Cooling hardware
- Front splitter and rear spoiler
- Recaro seats
These are reported build details, rather than a complete primary-source specification sheet. They describe a high-output modified Camaro that retains substantial 1LE equipment, but the available material does not provide controlled performance testing or a full, verified parts list.

Price and production: what the reported numbers establish
Motor Authority reported a Stage III package starting price of $129,995 in October 2023 and a planned allocation of 100 cars. GM Authority also reported 100 planned Stage III units. Treat both as launch-era figures: they do not establish the final number built, today’s asking prices, or a complete transaction cost including the donor Camaro, options, taxes, or dealer charges.
A 2026 Barrett-Jackson listing for one auction car identifies it as build No. 10 of 42. That vehicle-specific listing does not, by itself, reconcile the original 100-unit plan with final production. Current inventory and the definitive total produced are not established by these figures.

Is the Stage III street legal in all 50 states?
There is no basis here for a universal yes-or-no answer. Barrett-Jackson’s 2026 listing for one particular Stage III car warns that it “MAY NOT BE EMISSIONS COMPLIANT IN ALL 50 STATES.” That is a vehicle-specific caveat, not proof that every Stage III has the same status. Before buying, confirm emissions documentation and registration eligibility for the exact car and the state where it will be driven; do not assume that information for SVE’s separate 750-hp model applies.
How it fits into the Camaro’s final year
GM said the sixth-generation Camaro would retire at the end of model year 2024, with final assembly planned for January 2024. Chevrolet’s factory Collector’s Edition was a separate styling and commemorative package; its ZL1 version used the 650-hp LT4 and was limited to 350 units. Neither that edition nor the ZL1 is an SVE Stage III.
