Several 2024 U.S.-market SUVs offered panoramic roof equipment, but the available evidence does not support a reliable “best 10” ranking. The confirmed candidates below are useful starting points—not a top-ten list—and roof availability varies by trim, package, and, in some cases, powertrain. Verify the specific vehicle’s window sticker or build sheet before you shop.
Which 2024 SUVs have documented panoramic-roof options?
Manufacturer information confirms panoramic-roof equipment on these U.S.-market 2024 candidates. It does not establish that every trim—or every vehicle advertised under the model name—has the feature.
| Model | What the manufacturer information establishes | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 Toyota RAV4 | Toyota described a panoramic glass roof as available. Toyota’s 2024 RAV4 announcement does not identify every eligible trim in the cited information. | Check the exact trim and equipment package on the vehicle. |
| 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime XSE | Toyota described an available panoramic power tilt/slide moonroof and said the Weather and Premium Package includes it. Toyota’s 2024 RAV4 Prime announcement is specific to this plug-in hybrid model. | Confirm the XSE package and roof are present on the particular vehicle. |
| 2024 Mazda CX-50 2.5 S Premium | Mazda says the 2.5 S Premium adds a power-sliding panoramic moonroof with one-touch open and close. Mazda’s 2024 CX-50 information identifies the trim and operation, but does not establish how far the roof opens compared with a conventional large sliding panel. | Inspect the roof operation and shade on the vehicle; “panoramic” does not by itself describe how much glass opens. |
| 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid (HEV) | Kia’s feature table lists a panoramic sunroof with power shade as optional on one trim and standard on another. The U.S. brochure also assigns roof equipment by trim and package, including an EX Premium Package option. See Kia’s 2024 Sportage HEV features and options and the 2024 U.S. brochure. | Match the exact hybrid trim and package; do not assume equipment carries over from the gas-powered Sportage. |
| 2024 Kia Sorento | Kia’s features and options table lists a panoramic sunroof with power shade as optional on some trims and standard on higher trims. Kia’s 2024 Sorento table is the relevant trim reference. | Check whether the roof is standard or package-dependent on the exact trim. |
| 2024 Kia Telluride | Kia’s specifications distinguish trims with single-sunroof and dual-sunroof headroom measurements. The 2024 Telluride specifications show that roof configuration varies by trim; they do not establish that every Telluride has a panoramic roof. | Confirm the roof configuration and trim rather than inferring it from the model name or headroom figures. |
What “panoramic sunroof” means—and what it does not
Automakers use terms such as panoramic glass roof, panoramic moonroof, and panoramic sunroof. Those labels do not guarantee the same layout or operation: a roof may have a large glass area while only a front section opens, and some descriptions do not specify how much of the glass moves. Compare the actual roof and shade on the vehicle, not just the name in an advertisement.
Also distinguish a panoramic roof from an ordinary moonroof. For example, Honda’s 2024 CR-V comparison lists a one-touch power moonroof for the EX, but the cited information does not establish that it is panoramic. A model having a moonroof is therefore not enough to qualify it for a panoramic-roof list.

How to choose between these candidates
A roof feature alone cannot establish which SUV is best for a particular buyer. Compare each vehicle on the same set of practical criteria, and use sources appropriate to each claim:
- Exact equipment: Confirm model year, market, trim, package, roof coverage, opening section, and whether the shade is powered.
- Everyday practicality: Assess passenger and cargo space for the people and gear you actually carry, along with how the roof affects the cabin experience you want.
- Powertrain and running needs: Compare the relevant engine or hybrid system and fuel-efficiency information for the exact configuration, not a different trim or powertrain.
- Ownership case: Review comparable safety results, reliability evidence, warranty coverage, and price/value information before calling one option the best.
- Local availability: Historical 2024 specifications confirm what a manufacturer offered, not whether an appropriately equipped vehicle is currently for sale near you.
How to verify a 2024 SUV before buying
- Identify the exact vehicle. Record its model year, trim, powertrain, and any named package. For the RAV4 Prime XSE, for example, Toyota ties the panoramic moonroof to package equipment.
- Check the window sticker or build sheet. Look for the roof feature itself and any package required to include it. A general model listing is not sufficient evidence.
- Inspect the roof controls and operation. Confirm which glass section opens, whether the shade is powered, and that the equipment matches the seller’s description.
- Confirm the vehicle is the one being offered. Compare its sticker or build sheet with the local listing and the vehicle identification details before relying on historical model-year material.
Why this is not a ranked top ten
The available manufacturer sources verify six model or configuration candidates, not ten comparable SUVs. They also do not provide a consistent basis for ranking these vehicles on price, efficiency, space, safety, reliability, warranty, and roof operation. Calling ten options “the best” without that evidence would imply a comparison that has not been established. Hyundai is not included as a confirmed U.S. 2024 candidate: its current U.S. Tucson comparison does not establish the model year, while the separate 2024 brochure cited is for a non-U.S. region.

Next, tuck the flaps extending from both sides of the cover into the gap between the door and the bodywork; closing the door will secure the cover firmly in place. Finally, make minor adjustments to the cover's position to ensure complete coverage of the target area.
- Practical Features: This product effectively protects the glass and paintwork from snow accumulation, eliminating the need for tedious de-icing and snow-scraping, whilst preventing hard objects from scratching the bodywork. It significantly reduces glare from direct sunlight, blocks intense heat radiation, lowers the interior temperature, and greatly enhances comfort during daily commutes, allowing you to enjoy a cool and clean driving environment at all times.
- Anti-Theft Design: This product features clips that can be inserted directly into the door gap during installation, utilising the natural pressure exerted when the door is closed to achieve a secure lock. This ingenious, concealed anti-theft mechanism not only effectively prevents the snow guard from being easily removed or stolen whilst unattended, but also avoids paintwork damage that might be caused by external hooks.
