Kia’s original announced MSRPs started at $19,990 for the Forte LX and $25,590 for the K5 LXS, before a $1,155 destination fee. The Forte offered a fuel-focused 147-hp setup or a 201-hp GT; the larger K5 ranged from 180 hp to 290 hp in the GT.
Which Kia sedans were offered for 2024?
Kia America’s U.S. model-year archive lists the Forte and K5 for 2024. It lists the Rio and Stinger in its 2023 section, not its 2024 section, so they are not part of this U.S. 2024 lineup. Kia’s model archive is the reference for that model-year distinction.

The Forte is the more affordable compact sedan. The K5 is the larger sport sedan, with a higher starting price and a broader range of power outputs. The prices below are original announced 2024 model-year MSRPs—not current used-car values or dealer prices—and exclude the $1,155 destination fee Kia specified in both model releases.
2024 Kia Forte: trims, prices, and features
Kia listed four Forte trim names: LX, LXS, GT-Line, and GT. The GT was available with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

What changes between Forte trims?
The LX and LXS list an 8-inch audio touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The GT-Line and GT list a 10.25-inch navigation display with Kia Connect. The GT also adds the turbo powertrain and sport-tuned multi-link rear suspension; transmission depends on the chosen GT configuration. Equipment can vary by trim and configuration, so use the individual vehicle’s window sticker to confirm what it has.

For 2024, Kia said the GT-Line gained a standard driver-assistance bundle that included cyclist forward-collision alert, an electronic parking brake, Highway Driver Assist, and navigation-based smart cruise control. Kia also said the GT-Line Tech Package was no longer available. These are model-year announcements; verify equipment on the specific car.
2024 Kia K5: trims, prices, and features
Kia listed the K5 in LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT trims. GT-Line was the listed configuration with available all-wheel drive (AWD); other configurations in Kia’s lineup were front-wheel drive (FWD).

The LXS, EX, and GT-Line use an eight-speed automatic; the GT pairs its 2.5-liter turbo engine with an eight-speed wet DCT. The MSRP figures exclude the $1,155 destination fee. MPG figures are Kia-published EPA estimates rather than independently measured results. Details appear in Kia America’s 2024 K5 release, K5 features, and K5 specifications.
Notable K5 equipment change
Kia described the 2024 K5 as largely a carryover and said GT-Line FWD gained standard heated front seats. Display, audio, wheel, and driver-assistance equipment differ by trim, and package availability depends on configuration. Check the window sticker for the equipment on a particular car.

- Choose by size and starting budget: The Forte is the compact, lower-priced option, with an announced starting MSRP of $19,990; the K5 starts at $25,590 and is identified by Kia as a sport sedan. Those are original MSRPs, not current local asking prices.
- Choose by powertrain: Forte LX, LXS, and GT-Line models have 147 hp; the Forte GT has 201 hp and offers the choice of manual or DCT. K5 non-GT trims have 180 hp, while the K5 GT has 290 hp and the highest published horsepower and torque ratings among these two models.
- Choose by fuel-economy estimate: The Forte LX has the highest combined estimate in this lineup at 34 mpg. K5 LXS, EX, and GT-Line FWD are estimated at 31 mpg combined. The performance-oriented Forte GT manual and K5 GT are estimated at 26 and 27 mpg combined, respectively.
- Choose by drivetrain: Kia listed AWD only for the K5 GT-Line configuration. The Forte GT decision is between a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DCT.
- Compare equipment by exact car: Trim names do not make every comfort, technology, or driver-assistance feature standard. Confirm the specific vehicle’s window sticker and configuration before buying.
What these figures do—and do not—tell you
The published figures make it possible to compare original pricing, engine output, drivetrain choices, and EPA-estimated fuel economy. They do not establish current transaction prices, used-car values, regional fees or incentives, real-world MPG, cabin or cargo advantages, maintenance costs, reliability, insurance costs, or how either sedan drives. The 290-hp K5 GT is the highest-output configuration by Kia’s published ratings, but horsepower alone is not an acceleration, handling, braking, or ride comparison.
