The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 pairs a 6.4-liter V-8 with Rubicon off-road hardware, making it an unusually direct blend of big-engine performance and trail equipment. Jeep rates the engine at 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The limited-run Final Edition adds recovery and trail-focused equipment, but the headline acceleration, capability, and price figures below are Jeep’s published claims—not independent test results.
What makes the 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 392 different?
Its defining combination is a naturally aspirated 6.4-liter V-8 and the Wrangler Rubicon’s off-road orientation. Jeep lists output at 470 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 470 lb-ft of torque. Power goes through a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and a Selec-Trac full-time active transfer case. Jeep’s 2024 specifications and its March 2024 announcement establish those factory figures and equipment.
Jeep advertised 0–60 mph in 4.5 seconds, a 13.0-second quarter mile, and a 48:1 crawl ratio. These are manufacturer-published figures; no independent instrumented test is established here, so they should not be read as results verified under comparable road or track conditions. The crawl ratio is the more directly trail-oriented number: it describes the combined gearing available for low-speed control, not a measure of ground clearance or traction by itself.
What does the Final Edition add?
Jeep announced the Final Edition as a limited-run 2024 package with equipment aimed at recovery and trail protection, plus distinctive cabin trim. Its listed additions include:

The water-fording figure is a manufacturer claim, not a recommendation to enter water of that depth regardless of current, surface, vehicle condition, or owner-manual guidance. Consult the 2024 Wrangler owner’s manual for operating limits and precautions.
What were the Final Edition’s announced price and production limits?
At its March 19, 2024 launch, Jeep announced a U.S. Final Edition MSRP of $99,995, excluding $1,895 destination. It also announced a global production limit of 3,700: 3,300 for the United States, 300 for Canada, and 100 for the rest of the world. These are launch-era figures, not a statement of current inventory, transaction price, or used-market value.

What the published figures do—and do not—tell you
The factory specifications make the 392’s proposition clear: substantial V-8 output, an automatic transmission and full-time active transfer case, plus Rubicon equipment. They do not, on their own, establish how the Jeep rides, steers, brakes, sounds, or performs in real-world conditions. Nor do they establish fuel economy, driving range, payload or towing suitability, ownership costs, or how its acceleration compares with another SUV under the same test conditions.
Jeep executive Bill Peffer called the 392 “atop the mountain” for performance, power, and capability in the launch announcement. That is the brand’s promotional characterization, not independent comparative evidence. A buyer weighing the 392 against another Wrangler or performance SUV should verify the particular vehicle’s equipment and compare independent tests conducted under similar conditions, as well as current pricing and the intended use.
