The 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid remains a strong alternative: its EX-L is especially efficient, and its trim lineup offers a different mix of equipment. The better buy depends on which specific trims you are comparing and the prices and condition of the cars available to you—not a launch MSRP or a model-wide MPG headline.
This is a U.S.-market comparison of the 2024 Accord Hybrid and the 2025 Camry Hybrid, as identified by American Honda’s comparison page.

Which hybrid sedan is the better buy?
On the published specifications available for this exact cross-year pairing, the Camry leads in hybrid output, and the Camry LE FWD has the strongest stated EPA estimate. The Accord’s EX-L Hybrid, however, is also highly efficient, while other Accord Hybrid trims have lower estimates. That makes trim selection central to the comparison: neither car’s best MPG figure represents every version.
Choose between actual vehicles, not just nameplates. Compare the trim, drivetrain, equipment, condition, out-the-door price, and any financing offer for the cars you can buy locally. Toyota’s original Camry launch price is useful historical context, but it is not evidence of what a dealer is charging now.

2024 Accord Hybrid vs. 2025 Camry Hybrid: key specifications

Horsepower and EPA figures are manufacturer specifications or estimates, not results from a matched independent road test. EPA estimates depend on configuration and driving conditions; actual fuel economy varies.
2024 Accord Hybrid vs. 2025 Camry Hybrid MPG
The Camry LE FWD’s EPA estimate is 53 city, 50 highway, and 51 combined MPG. Toyota also announced a manufacturer-estimated 51 combined MPG for that trim when it introduced the 2025 model. Honda’s cross-year comparison lists another Camry configuration at 48 city, 47 highway, and 47 combined MPG, so the LE FWD number should not be applied to every Camry.

For the Accord, Honda lists the EX-L Hybrid at 51 city, 44 highway, and 48 combined MPG. The Sport, Sport-L, and Touring are listed at 46 city, 41 highway, and 44 combined MPG. These figures make the Accord EX-L a meaningful efficiency comparison with the Camry LE FWD, while the other Accord trims have lower published estimates.

Power and trim differences
Honda lists 204 hp for the 2024 Accord Hybrid range. In its comparison of the exact model years, Honda lists 225 hp for the 2025 Camry Hybrid FWD. The Camry therefore has the higher published output in that FWD comparison, but it is not a like-for-like independent acceleration test and should not be treated as one.
The Accord Hybrid comes in Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring trims, with differences in equipment and fuel economy. The EX-L’s higher MPG estimate does not automatically make it the best value: evaluate whether its equipment suits you and compare its actual price with the car you would otherwise buy. Honda’s 2024 specification guide also lists 16.7 cubic feet of cargo volume for the Accord; the cited exact-pair comparison does not provide a matching 2025 Camry cargo figure, so this information alone cannot establish which has more usable space.

Is the Camry worth more than the Accord?
Toyota announced a $28,400 starting MSRP for the 2025 Camry in 2024. That is the original launch starting MSRP, not a current dealer quote, a negotiated price, or a direct price comparison with a 2024 Accord. The cited Toyota comparison page covers the 2024 Camry versus the 2024 Accord, so its historical prices do not answer what a 2024 Accord and a 2025 Camry cost side by side today.

Safety features and warranty: what the sources establish
The manufacturers describe Honda Sensing and Toyota Safety Sense driver-assistance equipment, but feature lists are not independent crash-test results. The cited manufacturer sources do not establish a matched independent crash-test ranking for the 2024 Accord Hybrid versus the 2025 Camry Hybrid. Check ratings for the exact model year and body style from an independent testing organization before using crash performance to decide between them.
Toyota’s comparison page reports warranty terms for the 2024 Accord and 2024 Camry, not the 2025 Camry. Those 2024 Camry terms should not be carried over as a claim about the 2025 model. For either car, confirm coverage in the warranty booklet for the exact vehicle and check its in-service date, especially if it is used.
