The 2024 Genesis GV70 3.5T Sport Prestige makes a strong case for athletic luxury: its 375-hp twin-turbo V6, standard all-wheel drive, sport-oriented hardware and richly equipped cabin deliver real performance and polish. The compromise is a firm ride, a snug rear seat, closely spaced rotary controls and EPA-rated fuel economy of 20 mpg combined. It suits drivers who value power and cabin equipment more than maximum efficiency or rear-seat space.
What does the 3.5T Sport Prestige offer?
The 2024 GV70 3.5T pairs a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6, rated at 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque by Genesis, with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Its power and chassis tuning make it the performance-focused choice in the GV70 range, while Sport Prestige adds a substantial set of cabin and driver-assistance features.
Genesis lists the following equipment as additions to Sport Advanced on the Sport Prestige:
- 12.3-inch 3D digital instrument cluster and head-up display
- Three-zone climate control
- Forward Attention Warning
- Carbon-fiber trim
- Heated second-row seats and manual rear door shades
- Acoustic rear door glass
- Electronic limited-slip differential
The trim also comes with 21-inch Sport alloy wheels and 255/40R21 all-season tires. Before replacing tires, check the vehicle’s tire placard for its required size and load and speed ratings, and choose a tire suited to local conditions. Genesis’s 2024 brochure is the primary source for U.S. specifications and trim equipment.

How fast is the 2024 Genesis GV70 3.5T?
It is quick, but published acceleration results depend on the test. Car and Driver recorded 0–60 mph in 5.0 seconds during its 40,000-mile long-term test of a V6 GV70. Forbes contributor Kyle Edward reported approximately 5.5 seconds in a Sport Prestige review. Those are results from different tests, not a single guaranteed time for every vehicle.
Car and Driver describes the GV70 as noticeably athletic, particularly in Sport Plus. In his Sport Prestige review, Edward praised its precise, well-balanced steering and limited body roll, while noting that throttle response could feel sensitive and power delivery less than smooth. These are reviewers’ impressions rather than a promise of identical behavior in every driving situation.

What are the ride and cabin like?
The Sport Prestige brings a high level of cabin equipment, and reviewers praise the quality of its materials. Car and Driver calls the ride smoother than that of several rivals it discusses; Edward, reviewing the Sport Prestige, found the suspension firm. These assessments can coexist: a vehicle may feel controlled and composed without being soft over every surface. Buyers who prioritize plushness should drive it over the roads they use most.
The interface has a practical drawback: the infotainment rotary controller sits close to the rotary gear selector. Car and Driver and Edward both flag the potential for confusion or unintended inputs. The rear seat is another compromise. Car and Driver describes it as snug and not especially roomy, so families who regularly carry adults in back should try the seating position before choosing the trim.

How efficient is it, and how much room does it have?
Genesis lists EPA fuel economy for the 3.5T at 18 mpg city, 24 highway and 20 combined, with the estimates based on premium fuel. Car and Driver measured 26 mpg on its 75-mph highway route in a V6 GV70; that is one test result, not the EPA rating or a guarantee of typical highway mileage. The 2.5T is the more efficient GV70 option, although the supplied specifications do not establish a comparable figure for it.

These figures help describe exterior size and luggage capacity, but they do not change the reviewers’ observation that rear-passenger space is a relative weakness.

It is a compelling choice if you want a compact luxury SUV with strong V6 performance, standard AWD, sporty handling and extensive comfort and display equipment. It is less persuasive if your priorities are a soft ride, generous rear-seat room or fewer fuel stops. For a purchase decision, test the rotary controls, try the rear seat with the people who will use it, and drive on representative roads.

Car and Driver names the Audi Q5 and BMW X3 among the GV70’s competitors and sums up its appeal this way: “The GV70 is where style, luxury, and value meet to party.” That is an editorial verdict, not a measured value comparison; price and equipment should be compared using current listings for the same market and model year.
Warranty and scheduled maintenance
Genesis’s 2024 brochure lists a new-vehicle limited warranty of five years or 60,000 miles and a powertrain limited warranty of ten years or 100,000 miles. The brochure specifies that the powertrain warranty is available to the original retail owner only. It also describes complimentary scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles, subject to its terms and limitations. Check the applicable documents and vehicle history for coverage on any used example.
