BMW Motorrad USA’s 2024 model-year update said the options and packages were unchanged from the previous US model year. The stated addition was Intelligent Emergency Call as standard equipment. BMW’s announcement listed a starting MSRP of $18,295 plus destination; that is the manufacturer’s launch figure, not an estimate of today’s used-bike value. BMW Motorrad USA’s 2024 model-year announcement is the source for these US-specific details.

These are the colors and price BMW listed for the US update; they do not establish what a particular motorcycle was originally equipped with or what it should cost now.
How to distinguish a 2024 bike from the later update
BMW issued a separate announcement in October 2024 about a subsequent S 1000 RR update. It describes aerodynamic changes including new winglets and redesigned fairing side panels, along with a new M Quick-Action Throttle and a substantially increased standard equipment package. When shopping, use the motorcycle’s model-year documentation and VIN-specific equipment information rather than relying on a listing’s photos or a generic current BMW page. Registration year, sale date, and model year are not interchangeable.
What are the 2024 S 1000 RR’s engine and performance figures?
BMW’s current US technical-data page describes the S 1000 RR family as a 999 cc, water/oil-cooled inline-four with BMW ShiftCam, a six-speed transmission, a 6.5-inch TFT display, ABS Pro, traction control, and Race ABS. It lists 205 hp at 13,000 rpm and 83 lb-ft at 11,000 rpm. The page does not clearly identify its model year, so these are current family-level figures, not independently verified 2024 specifications. What tires fit a 2024 S 1000 RR?
BMW’s current technical page lists a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 190/55 ZR17 rear tire, changing to 200/55 ZR17 at the rear with M wheels. Because that page is not clearly locked to model year 2024, treat these sizes as a starting point for checking—not as final fitment confirmation for every 2024 motorcycle.
