BMW Motorrad USA announced a $10,495 MSRP, excluding destination, for the 2024 F 800 GS. The launch announcement anticipated market availability in early Q2 2024. Destination charges, taxes, registration, dealer fees, accessories and later incentives are additional and can change the amount paid.

Seat height and running weight can change with market equipment, suspension configuration, fluids and the low-suspension option. Riders who are borderline on an 815 mm seat should sit on the exact motorcycle being purchased rather than rely on a converted specification.

Is it suitable for touring and light off-road riding?
Touring
The F 800 GS has several useful touring basics from the factory: a connected TFT, heated grips, a 12-volt socket, USB power, cruise-control availability through the Premium Package and a Vario-case carrier. The parallel twin’s 87-hp output is ample for normal two-lane and highway travel, while the six-speed transmission and optional luggage hardware support longer trips. BMW does not provide a controlled range or fuel-economy figure in the cited material, so trip planning should use the motorcycle’s actual consumption once delivered.
Light off-road use
The GS format, traction-control management, Rain and Road modes, hand protection and available suspension options make the F 800 GS relevant to gravel roads and maintained dirt routes. The published material does not establish a wheel specification, suspension travel, ground clearance or independent off-road test result, so it should not be represented as a competition enduro or as proof of performance on difficult terrain. Verify the current build sheet before paying, since BMW states that package contents and prices are market-specific.
