How to read the dates
Public dates versus media programming
For Chicago, February 10–19 were the public show dates. The media preview took place February 8–9, before the show opened to public attendees. The organizer’s calendar is the most useful archive for day-by-day programming; archived hours and ticket details should be checked there rather than inferred from the date range.
Different kinds of automotive events
This calendar brings together consumer auto shows and broader automotive exhibitions or industry events. A listed date range does not by itself establish which days were open to the public, the daily hours, or ticket availability. Check the relevant organizer archive for those details.

Was there a Detroit auto show in 2024?
The North American International Auto Show in Detroit should not be listed as a 2024 edition. The North American event listing says it returned January 10–20, 2025; see Auto Shows of North America and the North American International Auto Show.

This is a selected list, not an exhaustive calendar of every local or regional show. The Auto Shows of North America listing includes additional 2024 events in cities and regions such as Toledo, Cleveland, Portland, Atlanta, Calgary, Miami, Seattle and Charlotte. Use the event-specific entry to confirm its date and venue; a regional listing is a better starting point for “near me” searches than this cross-region selection.

Chicago’s attendance statement
In its 2024 event announcement, Chicago Auto Show Co-General Manager Jennifer Morand said the show had “a steady year-over-year attendance growth of 50 percent building back out of the pandemic.” That 50 percent is the organizer’s statement, not an independently audited figure; the announcement’s publication date is not stated on the page.
