Choose the standard version when

Both ends provide preload, rebound and compression adjustment. Set sag and damping for your weight and use, then make changes methodically; incorrect settings can reduce grip and confidence even when the components are in good condition. Check for leaking fork seals, bent hardware and shock damage on any used motorcycle.
Brakes and consumables
The dual 320mm front discs and four-piston calipers provide the hardware expected of a liter-class sportbike. Measure disc and pad wear, inspect hoses and confirm that the lever is firm. Track use can accelerate wear on pads, rotors, tires and chain components.

Replacement tire and chain sizes

Used-bike inspection checklist
- Verify the VIN, title, recall status and whether the motorcycle is a California-emissions version.
- Cold-start the engine and listen for abnormal noises, smoke or unstable idle.
- Check service records, oil-change intervals and valve-service documentation.
- Inspect the frame, swingarm, forks, wheels and bodywork for crash repairs or mismatched finishes.
- Measure tire tread and check date codes; inspect the chain, sprockets and brake rotors for wear.
- Confirm that the TFT display, lighting, switches, fuel system and—on ABS models—the ABS warning system operate correctly.
- Calculate taxes, title, freight, setup and dealer fees before comparing the final price with the valuation references.
Safety and riding equipment
Honda’s safety guidance calls for a helmet, eye protection and protective clothing, and warns against riding after consuming drugs or alcohol or treating public roads as a racetrack. A full-face motorcycle helmet, eye protection and sportbike-specific protective riding gear are appropriate starting points; choose equipment that fits correctly and is appropriate for the riding environment.
