The 2022 Suzuki GSX-R750 is a 750cc sportbike that Suzuki positioned for both street and racetrack use, pairing its four-cylinder engine with a compact chassis and performance-focused suspension and brakes. Its U.S. launch MSRP was $12,599, or $12,699 in blue/silver; those are 2021-announced prices, not current used-market values or dealer quotes.
How Suzuki describes the GSX-R750’s performance
Suzuki Motor USA described the GSX-R750 as combining “750cc performance” with the lightweight, compact chassis of a 600cc Supersport, and said it could be used on the street or racetrack. That is the manufacturer’s positioning, not the result of a comparative test. Suzuki Global’s 2022 GSX-R750 page describes a fuel-injected, 750 cm³ four-cylinder engine and equipment intended for sporty riding.
The official specifications cited here do not provide verified horsepower, torque, acceleration, top speed, or independent track-test results. Those figures should not be inferred from Suzuki’s product descriptions.
Engine, chassis, and equipment
The North American specification lists a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC four-cylinder engine with 750 cm³ displacement. Suzuki’s feature list includes a six-speed close-ratio transmission, a back-torque-limiting clutch, and the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), which provides two engine-control maps. Suzuki says SDMS lets riders adjust power delivery to suit riding conditions.
