The Ferrari 812 Competizione A is the open-top targa counterpart to the 812 Competizione coupe. Ferrari reports that both versions use an 830 hp V-12, but its detailed technical sheet gives figures for the coupe and says A-specific specifications would follow. The reported Italian launch starting price was €578,000; that is not a current resale valuation or a U.S. MSRP.
What the 812 Competizione A is
The Competizione A pairs the 812 Competizione’s V-12 performance focus with an open targa body. Ferrari’s 2024 annual report identifies the A as the open-body counterpart to the coupe, reports 830 hp for both versions, and says shipments of the A began in 2023. The “2022” in the model-year title should not be taken to mean that an individual car was delivered that year. Ferrari’s 2024 annual report
812 Competizione A price
Quattroruote reported a starting price of €578,000 for the Competizione A in Italy at launch in 2021. That is a launch-era price, not a current asking price, transaction value, or U.S. MSRP. The launch coverage also said the planned A production run was sold out. Quattroruote’s 2021 launch coverage
Current A-specific asking-price and sale data are not established here. A meaningful comparison between used examples should account for the sale market and currency, date, mileage, condition, original options and specification, and provenance; the launch price alone cannot establish what a particular car is worth now.

Some U.S. model-year pages list prices of $598,513 and $602,463, but both are for the closed Competizione coupe, not the A. They should not be treated as A pricing. Cars.com’s 2022 coupe specifications; Car and Driver’s 2022 coupe specifications
812 Competizione A specifications
Ferrari’s 2024 annual report confirms 830 hp for both the Competizione and Competizione A. The detailed Ferrari technical sheet, however, is labeled for the Competizione and explicitly says that A technical specifications would be communicated later. Its detailed figures are therefore useful as published coupe specifications, not as a complete, independently confirmed A specification sheet. Ferrari’s Competizione technical sheet

How many 812 Competizione A cars were made?
Published counts conflict. Quattroruote’s 2021 launch report gives a planned run of 599 cars, while Car and Driver’s 2021 review reports 312 A models. The Ferrari technical sheet does not resolve the discrepancy, so neither figure should be presented as an uncontested confirmed production total.
