The 2022 Bentley Continental GT Speed pairs a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 with Bentley’s most performance-focused Continental GT chassis specification of its time. Bentley published output of 650 bhp and 900 Nm, a 0–60 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 208 mph. Those are manufacturer figures, not independently measured results.
What makes the 2022 Continental GT Speed special?
“Speed” describes more than the engine’s power. In the third-generation Continental GT, the 2022 Speed combined the W12 with an active all-wheel-drive system and a suite of chassis controls intended to manage traction, stability and agility. Bentley’s period brochure documents three-chamber air suspension with continuous damping control, Bentley Dynamic Ride, electronic all-wheel steering and electronic differential torque vectoring.
That combination distinguishes the Speed as a high-performance grand tourer: it retains the Continental GT’s luxury equipment while adding specific chassis hardware and Speed details. The documentation describes the equipment, but does not establish independent handling or ride-quality results.

Bentley’s 2021Q4 customer brochure lists a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 TSI engine paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and active all-wheel drive. How the chassis supports the performance
The Speed’s chassis specification is central to its identity. Bentley lists active all-wheel drive, electronic all-wheel steering, an electronic limited-slip differential, three-chamber air suspension with continuous damping control, Bentley Dynamic Ride and electronic differential torque vectoring. Together, these systems are designed to coordinate traction, body control and steering response; the available documentation does not quantify their effects in a road test.

Bentley lists vented brake discs measuring 420 mm at the front and 380 mm at the rear, along with 22-inch Speed wheels. Carbon-ceramic brakes were identified as an option in launch information, so they should not be assumed to be fitted to every 2022 Speed. Luxury, technology and Speed-specific details
The brochure documents Speed-specific equipment and finishes alongside the car’s grand-touring appointments. Listed items include sports sills, 22-inch Speed wheels, a heated steering wheel, leather and Alcantara trim options, and Bentley infotainment with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Equipment can vary by market, options and the original purchaser’s configuration, so a brochure description does not establish the specification of every used example. Keep the 2022 W12 separate from the later hybrid Speed
The 2022 car belongs to the third-generation Continental GT range and uses the W12 described above. Bentley’s current model page describes a later fourth-generation Continental GT Speed with a V8 hybrid powertrain and 771 bhp; those figures do not apply to the 2022 W12 model.
