The 2021 Harley-Davidson Street Bob is the FXBBS Softail, updated with a Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine. Harley-Davidson lists 119 ft-lb of torque at 3,000 rpm, a 659 lb running weight, 3.5-gallon fuel capacity and factory tires sized 100/90B19 front and 150/80B16 rear. The figures below are manufacturer-published specifications; the 47 mpg fuel-economy figure is an estimate, not a promise of real-world mileage.

Harley-Davidson’s 2021 launch announcement describes the 114 as a displacement upgrade for the Street Bob in the Softail line. The manufacturer’s model page also identifies an adjustable rear mono-shock; that description is not an independent assessment of ride or handling. See the 2021 Street Bob model page and 2021 lineup announcement.
What the dimensions and weights mean
The 25.8-inch seat-height figure is specified with the rider aboard (laden), so it should not be treated as an unloaded showroom measurement. Harley-Davidson lists 4.9 inches of ground clearance and a 64.2-inch wheelbase; those measurements help describe the bike’s proportions, but by themselves do not establish how it will feel or handle for a particular rider.

#1 Best Overall
- Whether it is simple maintenance or complete restoration, do not start work without Clymer, the leader in service manuals
- Save yourself time and frustration with these procedures and techniques used by the professionals
- Comprehensive manuals contain exploded views, drawings, specifications and charts that illustrate each job
- Feature shortcut repairs and high-performance modifications
The 659 lb running weight is distinct from the 634 lb as-shipped weight. Use the running figure when considering the motorcycle in its listed operating condition; do not substitute the as-shipped number as though the two describe the same state.
Factory tire sizes and replacement checks
Harley-Davidson lists Dunlop Harley-Davidson Series bias blackwall tires: a D401F front and D401T rear.
Rank #2
- Every Clymer repair manual contains hundreds of original photographs and illustrations obtained from the complete disassembly and assembly of the machine covered.
| Position | Listed tire | Size and service description |
|---|---|---|
| Front | Dunlop D401F | 100/90B19 57H |
| Rear | Dunlop D401T | 150/80B16 77H |
Before ordering, confirm the tire size, load and speed ratings, wheel fitment, and compatibility with the motorcycle’s exact configuration against the tire maker’s fitment information and the bike’s documentation. A size listing alone does not establish that every tire sold in that size is an appropriate replacement. The source for the factory sizes is Harley-Davidson’s 2021 Street Bob specification page.
Fuel capacity, economy and fluid references
The listed fuel capacity is 3.5 gallons (13.2 L). Harley-Davidson’s model page gives fuel economy as 47 mpg and marks it as an estimate. Actual mileage can vary with riding conditions and use, so the figure should not be used as a guaranteed range or a prediction for an individual motorcycle.
Rank #3
- Comprehensive coverage of maintenance and repair tasks for a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
- Includes clear instructions, diagrams, and illustrations to simplify complex procedures.
- A trusted reference guide designed to support both DIY owners and professional technicians.
The specification sheet also lists fluid capacities. These are capacity references, not a substitute for the manual’s service procedure or fill-level instructions.
| System | Listed capacity |
|---|---|
| Engine oil, with filter | 5 qt (4.7 L) |
| Transmission | 1 qt (0.95 L) |
| Primary chain case | 1.25 qt (1.18 L) |
Owner’s manual and service information
Use Harley-Davidson’s applicable 2021 Softail owner’s manual for service intervals, procedures, specifications and fill-level guidance. The manual is available through the Harley-Davidson Service Information Portal and includes information for Milwaukee-Eight 114 models. Check that the manual applies to the motorcycle’s market and configuration; do not transfer maintenance instructions from a different model’s manual.

Check recall status by VIN
A model-year specification or general recall page cannot establish whether an individual Street Bob has an open recall. Check the motorcycle using Harley-Davidson’s current recall information resource and its vehicle-specific lookup or contact route. Have the VIN available, and follow the result for that particular motorcycle.
