The 2021 Ford Bronco Black Diamond 4-door is defined by off-road protection hardware and an easy-to-clean, washout-friendly interior. Advanced 4×4 was an option on this trim, not standard equipment, so the title alone cannot confirm that a particular Bronco has it. Check the vehicle’s VIN-specific build sheet or window sticker before relying on its drivetrain, engine, transmission, Sasquatch package or tire fitment.
What comes with the 2021 Bronco Black Diamond?
Ford’s 2021 equipment sheet describes Black Diamond this way: “Next-level outdoor adventure adds heavy-duty off-road hardware and marine-grade washout interior.” The listed trim equipment includes:
- Heavy-duty modular front bumper and powder-coated steel rear bumper
- Rock rails and heavy-duty bash plates
- Seven G.O.A.T. Modes
- 17-inch black-painted steel wheels with 32-inch LT265/70R17 all-terrain tires
- Auxiliary switches
- Marine-grade vinyl-trimmed seats and rubberized washout flooring
Ford’s specification table identifies the standard tire as a General Grabber A/TX. These are model-year specifications; verify the actual equipment on an individual used Bronco rather than assuming it has remained unchanged.
Does the Black Diamond have Advanced 4×4?
Not necessarily. Ford listed Advanced 4×4 as available on Black Diamond, while the trim’s standard system was part-time selectable 4×4 with an electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer case. Advanced 4×4 adds automatic on-demand 4H engagement through a two-speed electromechanical transfer case. Ford lists a 3.06:1 low ratio for Advanced 4×4 and a 2.72:1 low ratio for the standard transfer case. These are Ford’s 2021 manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

Because Advanced 4×4 was optional, confirm it on the specific vehicle’s build sheet or VIN-linked equipment record. Do not infer it from “Black Diamond” or “4-door” in a listing title.
Engine and transmission options
For the 2021 model year, Ford listed the 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four as standard. The 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 was optional and required the 10-speed automatic. The 7-speed manual with crawler gear was offered with the 2.3-liter; the 10-speed automatic was available with either engine. Those options describe the model-year lineup, not the equipment of every Black Diamond.

Axles, differential and Sasquatch package
Ford’s lineup information identifies a rear locking differential as standard on Black Diamond. Its technical specifications list 4.46:1 final-drive ratios for manual and automatic configurations and 4.70:1 with Sasquatch. The title does not establish whether a particular vehicle has Sasquatch, so check its build record and installed equipment.
Sasquatch also changes the wheel-and-tire setup. Do not assume that the standard-trim tire information applies to a Sasquatch-equipped Bronco. Ford’s 2021 figures are configuration specifications; they do not establish what a used vehicle currently has fitted.

What tires fit a 2021 Bronco Black Diamond 4-door?
The listed standard Black Diamond setup is LT265/70R17 all-terrain tires on 17-inch wheels, with Ford naming the General Grabber A/TX. Before buying replacements, read the size on the vehicle’s current tire sidewall and confirm its wheel and package configuration. This check matters especially if the Bronco has Sasquatch or has been modified; the trim’s standard specification is not proof of the current fitment.
How to verify a used Bronco’s configuration
- Get the VIN and request the vehicle’s original window sticker or build sheet from the seller or a Ford source.
- Confirm whether the record lists Advanced 4×4, then check the transfer-case controls and vehicle documentation for consistency.
- Verify engine and transmission, Sasquatch package, axle ratio and differential equipment against the record rather than a generic trim description.
- Check the tire sidewall and wheel size directly before ordering tires, wheels or other fitment-sensitive parts.
Floor liners and parts-fitment cautions
Ford’s accessories catalog lists a 2021–2026 Bronco four-door all-weather floor liner in separate versions for carpet flooring and vinyl flooring. Match both the four-door body style and flooring type to the exact listing; catalog fitment does not confirm current marketplace stock.

Ford’s severe-duty steering upgrade listing excludes 2021–2024 four-door Black Diamond vehicles that do not have the factory Sasquatch package. That is a specific fitment restriction, not a general recommendation to upgrade the steering.
Ford also lists an M220 rear axle assembly with a 4.70 ratio and electronic locking differential as a service replacement for Sasquatch-equipped Broncos. Ford states that front and rear axle ratios must match and that a ratio change requires module and speedometer recalibration. This is specialized service information, not evidence that a Black Diamond needs an axle replacement.
