The 2020 Vanderhall Carmel is a two-seat, open-air autocycle with comfort features such as heated seats, cabin heat, cruise control and a removable capshade. Those features make it a more comfort-equipped grand tourer in Vanderhall’s lineup, but the available specifications do not prove it is objectively “the most luxurious” three-wheeler. The Carmel is now listed as a legacy model; prospective buyers should ask Vanderhall’s dealer network about any remaining inventory.
What the 2020 Carmel offers
Vanderhall’s 2020 brochure describes a Eurospec Carmel configuration. Its equipment list helps explain the model’s touring-oriented appeal:

The brochure also lists a two-year limited warranty. Warranty coverage is a historical 2020 brochure specification; confirm the terms applicable to any specific vehicle with its seller. Vanderhall’s 2020 brochure documents this equipment for its Eurospec configuration.
Engine and specifications depend on configuration
The 2020 Eurospec brochure lists a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 194 horsepower. It does not give a torque figure in the cited Carmel section.
#1 Best Overall
- VEHICLE-SPECIFIC FITMENT: For supported Vanderhall Carmel 2019-2026 applications; verify your exact year, trim and configuration before ordering
- ADJUSTABLE THROTTLE RESPONSE: Select from four modes and 36 sensitivity settings; adjust throttle response for scenic routes, weekend touring and open-air cruising
- PLUG-AND-PLAY CONNECTION: Installs in line with the accelerator pedal position sensor; no wire cutting or splicing required; follow the included vehicle-specific instructions
- APP CONTROL AND ANTI-THEFT: Adjust settings through the controller or free mobile app; optional Anti-Theft is available through the mobile app after an affordable subscription and disables accelerator input while activated
- FACTORY SOFTWARE UNCHANGED: Adjusts the accelerator pedal signal without reprogramming the ECU; personalizes response without adding horsepower or torque
A separate Vanderhall Carmel specification sheet lists 200 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque, but its date and exact market configuration are not independently confirmed. Treat those figures as a different specification, not as an addition or correction to the brochure’s 194-hp Eurospec listing. The sheet’s file returned 404 when opened, so its figures should be verified against documentation for the particular vehicle. Carmel specification sheet.
The same separate sheet lists a curb weight of 1,595 lb (723 kg), 235/35 ZR19 front tires and a 275/35 ZR19 rear tire. Because these figures come from that separate, not precisely dated specification, confirm the applicable configuration and fitment before relying on them for a particular Carmel.

The brochure supports a practical, equipment-based case for calling the Carmel comfort-focused: heat, heated seats, cruise control, a capshade, audio and paddle shifters are listed together. “Most luxurious,” however, is a subjective superlative. The available specifications do not provide a comparative ranking against other three-wheel vehicles, nor do they establish an independent road-test verdict or ownership study.
They also do not establish acceleration, fuel economy, independently measured braking or handling, or the helmet rules and legal classification that apply in a particular jurisdiction. Check local requirements and the vehicle’s own paperwork rather than assuming rules from its autocycle description.

Buying or maintaining a Carmel
Check current availability with a dealer
Vanderhall currently categorizes the Carmel as a legacy on-road vehicle and directs prospective buyers to its dealer network about remaining inventory. No current price or specific vehicle availability is established here. Ask the dealer to confirm the vehicle’s model year, market configuration, equipment, condition and applicable warranty. Vanderhall’s current vehicle listings.
Verify tire fitment by axle
The separate specification sheet lists different front and rear sizes: 235/35 ZR19 at the front and 275/35 ZR19 at the rear. Do not assume a front tire fits the rear, or that these sizes apply to every market or Carmel configuration. Confirm the size shown for the specific vehicle before buying replacements.
Ask about storage charging details
A Vanderhall Portugal dealer page says the Carmel includes a battery trickle-charger lead for extended storage. That is a dealer-market detail and does not establish the battery voltage, connector type or compatible charger model for a U.S. vehicle. Confirm the correct equipment with the dealer or vehicle documentation before connecting a charger. Vanderhall Portugal’s Carmel page.
