There was no production 2020 Nissan IMx. Nissan unveiled the IMx as an all-electric crossover concept at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show; its published range and performance figures described that concept, not a retail vehicle. Nissan introduced the Ariya as a separate electric crossover in 2020.
Was there a 2020 Nissan IMx?
No. Nissan’s October 25, 2017 announcement identifies the IMx as a zero-emission crossover concept revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show. It does not establish a 2020 production model, sales availability, or production-vehicle specifications. Nissan’s announcement and its concept overview both frame the IMx as a vision of future mobility.
The year in the search phrase may reflect confusion with the Ariya, which Nissan unveiled in 2020 as a separate electric crossover. The IMx and Ariya should not be treated as the same vehicle.
What was the Nissan IMx?
The IMx was Nissan’s electric crossover concept, presented as an example of its Nissan Intelligent Mobility vision. Nissan executive Daniele Schillaci described it as embodying the future of that vision in the company’s 2017 announcement. Its stated features were proposals for a concept vehicle, not confirmation that those systems were offered in a production Nissan.

These numbers explain what Nissan proposed for the IMx; they cannot be used to estimate the range, acceleration, charging behavior, or ownership costs of a 2020 production vehicle, because the sources do not establish that such a vehicle existed.
Features Nissan envisioned
Nissan’s concept materials also described autonomous-driving capability, wireless charging, and ways for the vehicle to connect with homes, buildings, and the electric grid. These were concept ideas, not evidence of equipment or services available to buyers. Nissan’s 2017 Tokyo Motor Show technology overview also presents the IMx in the context of concept technologies.

What was the IMx KURO?
The IMx KURO was a further development of the concept that debuted at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Nissan’s release calls it a concept vehicle, so the KURO name does not indicate a production trim or a later model year. Nissan’s IMx KURO announcement describes that concept debut.
