Published figures and equipment can vary by market and trim, so confirm the motorcycle’s exact configuration.
2019 Indian Roadmaster specifications
Indian’s official US specification page lists the following figures for the 2019 Roadmaster. They are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results.

Indian Motorcycle Media EMEA also lists the engine as a 49-degree, air/oil-cooled V-twin with 1,811 cc displacement, a belt final drive, 20.8 L fuel capacity, 403 kg dry weight, 2,656 mm length, 673 mm seat height and 1,668 mm wheelbase. Its regional page gives peak torque as 151 Nm at 3,000 rpm, rather than the US page’s 161.6 Nm equivalent. These regional figures should be kept tied to their sources; do not assume the torque listings are interchangeable or that all regional configurations are identical. Indian notes that specifications may change and international models may differ.

Touring equipment and features
Indian’s listed touring equipment includes a 7-inch Ride Command infotainment screen, a 100-watt audio system, Bluetooth and USB input, turn-by-turn navigation and customizable route building. The equipment list also includes LED lighting, multi-setting heated seats and grips, remote-locking saddlebags and trunk, adjustable passenger floorboards, ABS, cruise control, keyless ignition and tire pressure monitoring.
These features describe the manufacturer’s listed equipment, not a guarantee that every market or trim has the same setup. Check the particular bike and its market specification before relying on an item being present.
Factory tire sizes for the 2019 Roadmaster
The official US model page specifies Dunlop Elite 3 tires: 130/90B16 73H at the front and 180/60R16 80H at the rear. The 2019 Rider’s Manual gives the front as 130/90-B16 73H Dunlop Elite 3 and the rear as 180/60R16 80H Dunlop Elite 3 Multi-Compound.

When searching for replacements, use the full size and load/speed rating, then confirm the exact variant and current fitment guidance in the manual or with an Indian dealer. The published specification does not confirm that a particular current marketplace listing fits every 2019 Roadmaster.

Where to find the owner’s manual
Indian’s owner resources list a combined 2019 manual for Chief, Springfield, Chieftain and Roadmaster. The manufacturer-hosted document is the 2019 Rider’s Manual, part number 9929709 R01. Use it for operating instructions and maintenance procedures; consult the manual itself for the complete schedule and model-specific details.

Recalls and safety campaigns: check by VIN
Campaign records identify issues that may apply to some motorcycles, but they do not establish whether a specific Roadmaster has an open recall or has already received a remedy. Check the bike’s 17-character VIN with NHTSA and confirm the result and repair history with Indian or an authorized dealer.

Gear-position switch campaign
NHTSA recall 19V-776, submitted October 29, 2019, covers certain 2014–2019 Indian Chief, Chieftain, Roadmaster and Springfield motorcycles. The gear-position switch may send an inaccurate signal, causing the wrong gear to display. A false neutral indication when the motorcycle is actually in gear at startup can create a safety hazard. Indian’s later I-20-03 bulletin describes dealer replacement of the switch on impacted models and VIN-based identification.
10A circuit-breaker bulletin
Indian safety bulletin I-19-05-A, dated December 12, 2019, identifies some 2019 111 c.i. motorcycles built February 12 through July 31, 2019—including Roadmaster and Roadmaster Elite—as potentially equipped with a 10A circuit breaker that does not meet quality standards. It could cause the engine to stop unexpectedly. The bulletin directs dealers to replace the breaker on affected units and uses dealer unit inquiry to identify affected VINs; it does not mean every 2019 Roadmaster is affected.
NHTSA’s recall lookup can show unrepaired recalls for a specific VIN, and recalls do not expire. A campaign record alone cannot confirm an individual motorcycle’s repair status.

- Run the VIN through NHTSA’s lookup and ask Indian or an authorized dealer to verify completed campaign repairs.
- Confirm the exact trim and original market specification, particularly if the motorcycle is an import.
- Review service records and inspect wear items, including the tires; compare installed sizes and ratings with the manual.
- Check that the equipment you expect—such as Ride Command, heated seats and grips, remote-locking storage and tire pressure monitoring—is fitted and working.
The available specifications do not establish a current transaction price or a head-to-head advantage over other touring motorcycles. For a meaningful comparison, use the same model year and region and compare like-for-like figures, especially torque and weight conventions.
