What is this F-150, and what is its auction status?
Cars & Bids identifies the truck as a 2019 Ford F-150 HM Elite Prerunner, VIN 1FTEW1C56KKF19188. It is an XL with rear-wheel drive, a 10-speed automatic and a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. It is a modified XL, not a factory Ford performance trim. The listing reports a clean California title and a clean Carfax report.
At the Cars & Bids page capture on October 7, 2026, the auction showed a $20,000 bid, two bids and a scheduled October 17, 2026 close. These are time-sensitive listing details, not a final sale price; check the live listing for current status. The seller is named as PetersenMuseum, and the truck is described as part of the Cars & Bids Willow Springs Collection.
Listed factory equipment includes the XL Power Equipment Group, air conditioning and a rear-window defroster.

The auction listing describes extensive modifications. These are seller-reported details, not an independent inspection or verification of the build.
Chassis, body and suspension
- A 4130 chromoly roll cage extending through the engine bay, cab and bed, plus frame gussets and reinforcement.
- HM skid plates, bumpers, control arms and spindles, with custom aluminum tinwork.
- McNeil Racing fiberglass front clip and bedsides, finished with a red, white and blue wrap.
- Long-travel suspension, trophy-truck hubs, KING 4.0 bypass shocks and KING bump stops.

What is known about the engine replacement?
Service documentation shown in the listing records installation of a remanufactured engine in May 2024, when the truck had 5,798 miles. The same records note replacement of the catalytic converters and oxygen sensors, as well as a radiator repair. The listing does not explain why the original engine was replaced.
The current engine is identified as a supercharged Coyote 5.0-liter V8, but the listing provides no dyno sheet confirming its modified output. The approximately 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft figures cited there describe the engine in stock, naturally aspirated form; they are not verified output figures for this truck. Autoblog also points to the unexplained replacement and missing dyno sheet as valuation uncertainties.

What condition and ownership details should buyers check?
The seller discloses exterior scratches, scuffs and chips; wear on interior surfaces and touchpoints; and some corrosion on underbody components. The listing says one key is included. It also reports that the tires were replaced in 2025 and have 2025 date codes. Seller-reported 2026 fluid service and battery replacement are not documented in the listing.
Before bidding, use the listing’s records and disclosures as a starting point, then investigate the issues that could materially affect safety, operating costs or whether you can use the truck:

- Clarify the engine history. Ask what caused the original engine failure, obtain the remanufactured engine’s provenance and warranty information if available, and review invoices and service records for the engine and related repairs.
- Arrange a specialist inspection. Have a qualified shop familiar with off-road builds examine cage welds, frame reinforcement, underbody corrosion, suspension, steering, brakes and driveline components. The listing does not establish that any independent inspection has taken place.
- Confirm modified output and setup. Ask whether a dyno sheet, tuning records or other documentation is available; do not assume a horsepower figure from the stock engine specification.
- Check local legal use before committing. The seller warns that modifications may prevent the truck from passing emissions testing in some states and puts responsibility for confirming registration and use requirements on bidders. Verify the rules with the relevant authority for the jurisdiction where you intend to register it.
- Verify the sale details. Confirm the live bid, end time, included spares, keys, condition disclosures and title details directly in the auction listing.
The listing’s notice says: “Bidders are responsible for verifying all information, including condition and known flaws, and for confirming they can register and use the vehicle in their location.”

Autoblog’s October 5, 2026 article reported a $20,000 bid with 12 days remaining and offered an editorial fair-value estimate of $80,000–$125,000, with $100,000 described as most likely. That range is an estimate, not a verified market value or completed-sale comparison. The article also cited $80,000–$300,000 asking prices for professional prerunner builds in Race-Dezert classifieds; asking prices do not show what vehicles actually sold for.

Autoblog referenced a previously offered 2020 F-150 prerunner with $74,000 in modifications over a $59,840 sticker. That example is context, not a direct comparable or proof of this truck’s value. For this build, price depends on the quality and documentation of the chassis and suspension work, engine history and verified output, present condition, legal usability and the limited pool of specialist buyers. The available references do not establish a robust comparable-sales dataset.
