The historic 2017 Rezvani Beast X was a limited-run, rear-wheel-drive sports car announced with 700 hp from a twin-turbocharged 2.4-liter Honda K24 engine. Rezvani announced a five-car production limit and a $325,000 starting price. Its specifications are distinct from those of a newer vehicle Rezvani now presents under the Beast X name.
2017 Rezvani Beast X specifications
Rezvani announced the Beast X on November 23, 2015, calling it the most powerful Beast variant at the time. Contemporary coverage framed it as a 2017 model-year update. These are launch-era specifications and claims, not results from an independent road test.
| Specification | 2017 Beast X |
|---|---|
| Engine | 2.4-liter Honda K24 four-cylinder, according to contemporary reporting |
| Induction and output | Twin BorgWarner turbochargers; 700 hp announced by Rezvani |
| Drivetrain | Rear-wheel drive |
| Transmission | Six-speed manual standard; optional sequential automatic |
| Weight | 1,850 lb, reported by Motor Authority |
| 0–60 mph | 2.5 seconds, a manufacturer-claimed figure reported by Motor Authority; no independent instrumented result is established by the cited coverage |
| Production | Five examples worldwide announced by Rezvani; completed production count is not established |
| Starting price | $325,000, the contemporary launch price reported in 2015–2016 coverage; not a current valuation |
Rezvani said the engine used forged pistons and valves and strengthened internals to support its output. Motor Authority attributed the 700-hp figure to the twin turbos and a new intercooler. Autoblog’s reproduction of Rezvani’s November 23, 2015 launch release gives the announced power and production limit; Motor Authority’s contemporary report supplies additional technical and performance details.
How much horsepower does the 2017 Beast X have?
Rezvani announced 700 hp for the historic Beast X. That was the claimed output at launch, not an independently measured figure. The car’s reported Honda K24 2.4-liter engine was modified with twin turbochargers and reinforced components.

Why current Beast X specifications are different
Rezvani’s current website uses the Beast X name for a newer vehicle and lists a 6.2-liter twin-turbo V8, 1,560 hp, all-wheel drive, an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and a claimed 0–60 mph time of 1.9 seconds. Those figures belong to the newer model described on Rezvani’s current Beast X page, not the historic 2017 car.
The company also describes a separate newer Beast with a 1,000-hp 6.2-liter twin-turbo V8 and a claimed 2.5-second 0–60 mph time on its current Beast page. Similar acceleration claims do not make the cars the same version: identify model year and name before comparing specifications.

Identifying the historic car in period coverage
Car-Revs-Daily described the Beast X as a 2017 model-year update, while cautioning that some images in its coverage show the Beast Speedster rather than the X. A photo in that article should not be treated as proof that the pictured car is a Beast X. See Car-Revs-Daily’s 2017 Beast X coverage.
