Chevrolet’s 2017 Camaro coupe equipment table lists 245/50R18 blackwall all-season tires and 18-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels as standard for the 1LT Coupe. That is the original standard fitment, not proof of what is installed on a particular used car.
Use the vehicle’s tire-and-loading information placard and inspect its fitted wheels before ordering. If you need to establish engine or build details, check the VIN and build/RPO information as well as the applicable owner’s-manual configuration notes.

Compare replacements on more than size
Once fitment is confirmed, compare tires in the approved size by all-season or seasonal suitability for your climate, load and speed ratings, run-flat status if applicable, warranty, noise, and ride priorities. These are buyer considerations, not a Chevrolet ranking or test result. Do not assume a tire is suitable solely because its size matches.
Check tread and tire age
- Tread: The owner’s manual says treadwear indicators appear when 1.6 mm (1/16 in) or less of tread remains. Replace tires before they reach an unsafe condition; have a tire professional assess damage or uneven wear.
- Age: GM recommends replacing tires, including the spare if equipped, after six years regardless of tread wear. The final four digits of the DOT Tire Identification Number (TIN) indicate the week and year the tire was made. The recommendation is from GM’s 2017 owner’s manual; it is not a statement about the condition of any particular tire.
What oil does a 2017 Camaro take?
GM’s owner’s manual specifies engine oil meeting dexos1 and the proper SAE viscosity grade for the installed engine. It recommends ACDelco dexos1 Synthetic Blend. The trim name alone does not establish a single viscosity or oil capacity for every 1LT, so do not choose a grade or amount from the title alone.

Check the engine-specific oil information in the owner’s manual, using the correct engine and applicable configuration. When selecting a product, verify both dexos1 approval and the required SAE viscosity for that engine and operating conditions.
