The 2016 Jeep Comanche was a one-off Renegade-based pickup concept created for the 50th Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. Jeep stretched the Renegade’s wheelbase by six inches to accommodate a five-foot cargo bed, then equipped the show vehicle with a diesel engine and off-road hardware. Those details describe the concept—not a production Comanche or a parts-fitment guide.
What was the 2016 Jeep Comanche?
Jeep and Mopar introduced the Comanche as one of seven concepts for the 50th Easter Jeep Safari in 2016. The idea was to combine the compact Renegade platform with pickup utility and trail-focused equipment. Jeep’s announcement describes it as a concept vehicle, and the published specifications do not establish that a production version went on sale.
The Comanche was not the historic Jeep Comanche pickup revived as a production model. It was a Renegade-based show build with a pickup body configuration.
How Jeep turned the Renegade into a pickup
Jeep extended the production Renegade’s wheelbase by six inches to create room for a five-foot cargo bed. The manufacturer’s release does not give the concept’s overall dimensions, payload rating or towing capacity, so those figures should not be inferred from the bed length.

Exterior and trail equipment
Jeep listed a concept lower front fascia, Satin Black hood, winch, steel rear bumper, soft top, spare tire carried in the bed, off-road rock rails and a two-inch lift kit. The concept wore painted 16-inch wheels with 32-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. Its paint was called “Beige Against the Machine,” contrasted with the black hood.
The release does not identify a more precise tire model or establish current availability or fitment for another vehicle. Check the exact tire model, size and vehicle compatibility before choosing a replacement or accessory.

The Comanche is useful as an example of how Jeep used the Renegade as a starting point for a compact pickup concept: a longer wheelbase, a five-foot bed and trail-oriented equipment. It is not evidence that Jeep launched a production Comanche, nor does its parts list establish that those components are available or fit a vehicle today.
