The Triumph Rocket III Roadster handbook lists a 2,294 cc inline-three engine and five-speed transmission. Triumph’s 2014 tire chart specifies 150/80 R17 front and 240/50 R16 rear tires for Rocket III Roadster models from 2010 onward; the handbook gives cold pressures of 34 psi front and 42 psi rear. Confirm your motorcycle’s VIN, market and handbook before ordering parts or servicing it.

What are the specs of a 2015 Triumph Rocket III Roadster?

The Triumph Rocket III Roadster owner’s handbook describes the Roadster family. It lists these core specifications:

Specification Published figure
Engine Inline three-cylinder, 2,294 cc (Triumph Rocket III Roadster owner’s handbook; edition year not confirmed)
Transmission Five-speed constant-mesh with transmission damper (Triumph Rocket III Roadster owner’s handbook; edition year not confirmed)

The handbook is a manufacturer document hosted by ManualsLib, not a statement that this particular 2015 motorcycle has been inspected. Its edition year, and the individual bike’s market and VIN, are not confirmed here. Do not substitute specifications for the standard Rocket III, Rocket III Touring or later Rocket 3 models.

What size tires does a 2015 Triumph Rocket III Roadster take?

Triumph’s 2014 tyre chart lists Rocket III Roadster models from 2010 onward with a 150/80 R17 front and a 240/50 R16 rear. The chart names the Metzeler ME880 Marathon option for those sizes. This is a published fitment reference for the Roadster model range, not confirmation of a particular motorcycle’s wheels, VIN-specific approval or current tire availability. See Triumph’s tyre chart.

If searching for a replacement, the rear size is a useful starting phrase: “240/50 R16 motorcycle tire.” Check the tire maker’s current fitment information and have a Triumph dealer confirm the exact motorcycle, tire construction, and load and speed ratings before buying. The cited chart establishes one listed option, not a current or comprehensive comparison of available tires.

What is the correct tire pressure for a Rocket III Roadster?

The Roadster handbook specifies 34 psi (2.34 bar) front and 42 psi (2.90 bar) rear, measured cold. These are handbook figures for the Roadster family; confirm them against the handbook edition that matches your motorcycle and any applicable market-specific information. Tire size alone does not establish that a tire is suitable or in safe condition.

What should owners know about the final drive and maintenance?

Final drive

The handbook says the final-drive unit has no user-serviceable parts apart from checking and changing its oil level, and warns against disassembly. If it develops a fault, do not take the unit apart; refer it to a Triumph dealer.

Service intervals and parts

The Roadster handbook covers routine operating and adjustment information. A surfaced Rocket III service-manual listing includes a scheduled maintenance chart, but its exact applicability to every 2015 market and edition is not established. Use the correct handbook and service manual for the motorcycle’s VIN and market, and consult a Triumph dealer for interval-specific work. Do not choose engine oil, filters or other parts by model name alone without confirming the required specification and fitment.
