The 2012 Alfa Romeo Giulietta for Maserati was a 100-car, Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde-based limited edition selected by Maserati for use as a customer courtesy car across its European network. It paired the Giulietta’s 235 HP 1750 turbo petrol engine with Maserati Brown leather and specific equipment; it was not a separately engineered Maserati model.
Why Maserati used the Giulietta
Alfa Romeo announced the edition on 5 December 2011, describing it as a limited run of 100 cars chosen for Maserati’s European network. The purpose was practical as well as promotional: Maserati customers could use a sporty Alfa Romeo while their own cars were being serviced. The Swiss announcement later reported that 22 examples had been delivered to the Maserati network in Switzerland.
These figures describe the announced edition and the Swiss allocation, respectively; they do not establish how many cars survive today. Alfa Romeo’s 5 December 2011 announcement and the Swiss release of 20 December 2011 are the cited factory accounts.
Engine and performance
The edition used the Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde’s 1,742 cc 1750 TBi turbocharged petrol engine. Alfa Romeo rated it at 235 hp at 5,500 rpm. The manufacturer’s technical sheet lists front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual gearbox, with 300 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm in normal mode and 340 Nm at 1,900 rpm in Dynamic mode.

For the 1750 TBi 235 hp model, Alfa Romeo’s technical data gives a 0–100 km/h time of 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 242 km/h. The Swiss release also states average fuel consumption of 7.6 l/100 km; this is a manufacturer figure, not an independently measured real-world result. The performance and consumption figures are published specifications, not guarantees for an individual used car. The edition announcement, Alfa Romeo’s technical sheet and the Swiss release provide the cited figures.
What distinguishes the edition
Interior trim
The most visible cabin detail is the Maserati Brown full-grain Venere leather upholstery. The front seats were heated and electrically adjustable. Alfa Romeo also specified an “Alfa Romeo for Maserati” dashboard plate and Giulietta/Maserati-branded aluminum door-sill plates.

Wheels, brakes and suspension
Factory equipment included diamond-finished 18-inch alloy wheels, enlarged brakes with red calipers, and sport suspension. The technical sheet for the 1750 TBi model range lists 330 mm front and 278 mm rear discs. Those diameters are range specifications; the edition announcement itself describes the brakes as enlarged without listing disc sizes. Confirm the correct brake and suspension parts by VIN, market and component specification before ordering.
Other equipment
The edition release lists bi-xenon AFS headlamps, navigation, Blue&Me connectivity and dual-zone automatic climate control. It also describes burnished brushed-aluminum dashboard inserts. Equipment on a particular car should be checked against its documentation and actual condition rather than assumed from badges alone.

How the DNA driving modes work
Alfa Romeo described three selectable modes: Dynamic, Natural and All Weather. According to the manufacturer, Dynamic changes engine response and torque delivery; the technical sheet specifies the higher torque figure in that mode. All Weather is described as adapting traction for difficult conditions. These are factory descriptions of the system, not independent findings about how the car performs in every situation.

The announced production run and distinctive trim make the factory description useful when evaluating a listing, but appearance alone cannot authenticate an individual car. The cited releases do not supply a VIN-level authentication method or prove the originality of any specific example.

- Brand new 1/24 scale diecast car model of 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia Burgundy die cast model car by Bburago. Brand new box. Real rubber tires.
- Compare the car’s engine, factory equipment and trim with the edition details above.
- Ask for the VIN and market-specific documentation, and have a qualified Alfa Romeo specialist check the vehicle’s identity and records.
- Inspect the leather, dashboard plate, sill plates, wheels, brakes and suspension in person; replaced parts or added badges are not proof of original specification.
- For servicing or replacement parts, identify the exact car by VIN, market, engine and component specification. The enlarged brakes and sport suspension make generic Giulietta QV fitment assumptions especially worth checking.
Factory information supports the edition’s stated purpose, quantity and equipment, but the sources cited here do not establish a surviving-car registry, current market value, independent road-test results or a known-fault record.
