The 6.3-litre name is Mercedes-Benz’s rounded engine description; 6,208 cc is the exact displacement listed by Automobile-Catalog. PS and SAE horsepower are different unit conventions, so the 487 PS and 481 SAE hp figures should not be treated as conflicting ratings.
